RBW Transformation and Business Architect

Retail Banking & Wealth (RBW) Transformation and Business Architect is a team of change agents who strive for designing, developing, and delivering customer-focused products and journeys with sustainable value. Key responsibilities cover the below areas:

•Translating business strategy into action by framing business challenges into clear objectives and applying architectural principles to design practical solutions
•Driving broad, multi-disciplinary and front to back transformations across lending, wealth, insurance, payment and transaction banking, data, propositions, omni-channel and regulatory initiatives
•Shaping recommendation through root cause analysis, customer journey mapping, design thinking and pros and cons analysis of how something being built
•Delivering initiatives according to roadmap, key performance indicators (KPI) and objectives and key results (OKR). Continually refining and optimizing design and delivery, and driving ongoing improvement alongside product owner and risk stewards
•Transforming the ways of working and sharing best practices across all value streams, to optimize outcome, cost and speed of delivery
•Establishing proper governance, roles and responsibilities, resolving blockers / risk and issues and tracking costs and benefits to enable funding and decision prioritization
•Providing the blueprint and framework that guide HASE RBW towards the target future state architecture, ensuring initiatives are consistently designed and aligned to capability direction

Should you join RBW Transformation and Business Architect, you will work closely with our product and channel owners, and function teams, as well as the regional and Group offices. You will gain exposure to shaping and leading the strategic projects for RBW.

We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our department as Senior Programme Manager under Retail Banking and Wealth - Transformation & Business Architect

Principal responsibilities

  • Provide internal consultancy services on project / system implementation, workflow design, and process re-engineering in various Retail Banking and Wealth business areas.
  • Provide SME supports on investigating operational issues, problems and new opportunities.
  • Provide options for solution design, factoring feasibility (commercial, business, technical, delivery, etc) and business / change impact.
  • Orchestrate end-to-end study on business models, process map of products and services with varying levels of complexity to help assess and communicate to management on how different scenarios impact existing state of business.
  • Drive the project team to prioritise product backlog by providing insight based on business knowledge, investigations, and analysis.
  • Steer the team to defining clear criteria for acceptable final solutions of work to ensure new business and services meet business and user needs and are aligned with organisational goals
  • Keep abreast of latest technology / best practices in different line-of-business within HASE, and/or recent technology trend in banking industry, and deliver changes to current processes with efficiency and cost improvement.
  • Act as a role model to foster a high engagement team to deliver good quality outputs which exceed user expectations.

Requirements

  • University graduate in related disciplines or other relevant qualifications.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in leading scrum teams to implement medium-large scale projects successfully.
  • Strong in project management/business analysis capability.
  • Knowledge in Account opening, Customer Proposition, Digital Banking related business preferred.
  • Familiarize with different ranges of business analytical tools like process flow construction and customer journey mapping.
  • Agile knowledge and scrum master experience will be an advantage.
  • Being proactive & innovative with good stakeholder management and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Chinese.
  • Ability to adopt a growth mindset and proactively identify and drive change opportunities across different stakeholders to secure their support.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
