How you will make an impact?

Strategic supplier relationships are critical to operational resilience, supply continuity, innovation, and long-term business performance. As Senior Program Manager, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), you will lead enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen supplier governance, improve supplier performance visibility, and enable scalable supplier collaboration across Thermo Fisher Scientific's global operations

What will you do?

You will partner with leaders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Digital, and Business functions to drive SRM transformation initiatives that improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and create measurable business value. Success in this role is measured by:

  • Adoption of standardized SRM frameworks, governance processes, and operating models
  • Improved visibility into supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, service, innovation, and risk metrics
  • Increased maturity of supplier governance and supplier lifecycle management capabilities
  • Enhanced executive decision-making through supplier scorecards, dashboards, and reporting
  • Stronger supplier collaboration, innovation engagement, and strategic partnership outcomes
  • Successful delivery of SRM transformation initiatives with measurable business impact

Enterprise Program Leadership

  • Lead enterprise-wide SRM transformation initiatives from strategy through execution, adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and manage multi-year SRM roadmaps aligned with Procurement, Supply Chain, Digital, and business priorities
  • Establish governance structures, operating frameworks, and execution standards that enable scalable supplier management practices

Supplier Relationship Management Enablement

  • Design and implement enterprise SRM frameworks, supplier segmentation models, and governance processes
  • Partner with Category Management, Supplier Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to enhance supplier relationship maturity
  • Standardize supplier engagement practices, governance models, and best practices across Procurement organizations
  • Establish executive business review (EBR) processes and strategic supplier engagement frameworks
  • Support supplier innovation and collaboration initiatives that strengthen long-term supplier partnerships
  • Improve supplier lifecycle management capabilities, including onboarding, segmentation, performance monitoring, and supplier development

Governance & Performance Management

  • Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, dashboards, KPI frameworks, and executive reporting capabilities
  • Drive consistency in supplier performance measurement across quality, delivery, cost, service, innovation, sustainability, and risk
  • Partner with Digital, Data & Analytics, and Procurement Operations teams to improve supplier data quality and reporting transparency
  • Establish governance forums, review cadences, escalation processes, and accountability mechanisms

Stakeholder Leadership & Influence

  • Influence and align senior leaders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Regulatory, Sustainability, Digital, and Business functions
  • Lead executive governance reviews and cross-functional decision-making forums
  • Serve as a strategic connector between Procurement leadership, business stakeholders, and strategic suppliers
  • Communicate program progress, supplier performance trends, risks, and opportunities to executive audiences

Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to improve supplier management through process optimization, analytics, digital enablement, and governance enhancements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase operational scalability, transparency, and supplier performance
  • Benchmark industry best practices and recommend improvements that strengthen supplier governance and resilience
  • Capture and institutionalize best practices to advance enterprise SRM capabilities

How will you get here?

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Ten+ years of experience leading enterprise programs within Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Procurement Excellence, or transformation environments
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives with executive visibility and measurable business outcomes
  • Experience in Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Performance Management, Category Management, Procurement Operations, or enterprise PMO environments preferred
  • Experience leading supplier governance, performance management, or SRM transformation initiatives preferred
  • Experience operating within global, regulated, and highly matrixed organizations preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong program leadership and strategic execution capabilities
  • Deep understanding of Supplier Relationship Management, supplier governance, supplier lifecycle management, and supplier performance methodologies
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect supplier performance to operational and financial outcomes
  • Experience developing governance frameworks, KPI structures, scorecards, and executive reporting models
  • Knowledge of supplier data governance, segmentation methodologies, and procurement analytics preferred
  • Continuous improvement experience (Lean Six Sigma, PPI, or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and executive presence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, supplier management platforms, reporting tools, and program management systems
  • Willingness to travel 15–35% annually
