Job Description

Mayo Clinic has an exciting opportunity to join our Enterprise Automation program—leading a strategic portfolio spanning robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent automation, and AI-enabled workflow solutions. You will set program direction, establish governance and reporting, and partner with leaders across clinical, operational, and administrative areas to deliver measurable outcomes.

You’ll oversee a delivery team of business analysts, solutions architects, and project managers, manage dependencies and risks across multiple workstreams, and communicate progress and value to executive stakeholders. This role requires strong program leadership in complex, matrixed environments and the ability to tailor Agile and hybrid delivery practices to the organization.

The Senior Program Manager will lead the Enterprise Automation portfolio end to end—setting program direction, establishing governance, and ensuring work remains aligned to institutional priorities. You will define success measures and reporting, guide roadmap and prioritization decisions, and manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across a multi-workstream portfolio.

In this role, you will build and develop a team of business analysts, solutions architects, and project managers while enabling delivery teams through coaching and servant leadership. You will partner closely with executive sponsors, clinical and operational leaders, IT, and vendors—translating technical concepts into clear, actionable communications and driving alignment through executive-ready updates.

You will champion Agile and hybrid delivery approaches, coordinate work across teams using different methodologies, remove blockers, and support effective decision-making and conflict resolution. You’ll also lead change management and continuous improvement—tracking benefits realization and ROI, optimizing solutions after launch, and scaling reusable governance patterns and delivery frameworks.

This position has direct supervisory responsibility for the Enterprise Automation delivery team, including Business Analysts, Solutions Architects, and Project Managers. May also supervise contractor and vendor resources. Responsibilities include performance management, professional development planning, workload allocation, and team culture.

  • Active (unexpired) PMP certification (PMI)
  • Proven success leading large, complex, enterprise-wide initiatives in a matrixed organization
  • Experience leading programs made up of multiple interrelated projects
  • Skill in effective decision-making and consensus management in a committee-managed, physician-led organization
  • Strong program management fundamentals (scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, change, and stakeholders)
  • Experience leading and developing teams (coaching, team building, and performance management)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and executive-level presentation skills
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, self-motivation, commitment, strategic insight, and organization
