Overview

Join our team as a Senior Program Manager and support a Department of Defense customer by leading an emerging technologies lab that evaluates new capabilities for special operations aviation. You will manage contract scope, budget, schedule, and a team of senior engineers, ensure promising technologies are assessed rigorously and transitioned to programs of record.

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, standard business hours at MacDill AFB and nearby Tampa, FL offices. Occasional travel to meetings, conferences, and test events.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior government stakeholders and build lasting working relationships.
  • Manage all aspects of the contract: scope, deliverables, modifications, and reporting.
  • Oversee the program budget, track funding lines and expenditures, and keep all work within financial limits.
  • Lead and prioritize a team of highly specialized test, integration, software, and communications engineers.
  • Identify emerging user requirements through conferences and assessments, and help shape acquisition strategies.
  • Deliver regular status reports, financial updates, and performance reviews to corporate and government leadership.
  • Identify technical, schedule, funding, and personnel risks early and drive mitigation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Minimum 10 years of program management experience supporting DoD contracts
  • Demonstrated experience managing contract cost, schedule, performance, and risk mitigation in a DoD or federal contracting environment
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex engineering projects

Desired:

  • Program management experience directly supporting special operations aviation programs
  • Working knowledge of special operations fixed-wing and unmanned systems, subsystems, and specialized technologies
