KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Implementation Leadership & Delivery Management
- Oversee day-to-day implementation of project activities across all locations through supervision of Project Managers.
- Ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality delivery of all sectoral interventions in line with work plans and targets.
- Monitor implementation progress against plans and ensure corrective actions are taken to address delays or bottlenecks.
- Coordinate field-level execution of multi-sector activities across WASH, Protection, Food Assistance, Health, EiE, and DRR.
- Ensure adherence to implementation timelines, operational standards, and donor expectations.
Coordination, Integration & Communication
- Serve as the central coordination point between Project Managers, Technical Director, MEAL Director, and support functions.
- Ensure strong coordination across sectors, locations, and partners at the field level.
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings and communication flows between field and national office teams.
- Ensure alignment between technical guidance, MEAL requirements, and operational delivery.
- Strengthen collaboration between consortium partners at implementation level.
Planning, Progress Tracking & Performance Management
- Lead development and consolidation of field-level implementation plans in coordination with Project Managers.
- Track progress against activity plans, budgets, and targets.
- Support Project Director with updates on implementation performance, risks, and bottlenecks.
- Ensure accurate and timely input into reporting processes (technical and financial).
Problem Solving, Adaptive Management & Field Support
- Identify operational challenges, access constraints, and emerging risks in field implementation.
- Provide practical solutions and adaptive approaches to ensure continuity of implementation.
- Support Project Managers and field teams in overcoming challenges related to logistics, access, staffing, and coordination.
- Ensure flexible and context-responsive implementation approaches.
Team Leadership & Capacity Strengthening
- Supervise and mentor Project Managers and support field-level staff.
- Build strong leadership and coordination capacity among Project Managers.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and performance culture across field teams.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and support to strengthen operational efficiency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, Management, Social Sciences, or related field
- Master’s degree is an advantage
- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in program or project management
- Proven experience managing field-based program implementation, preferably in multi-site or multi-sector projects
- Strong experience in operational coordination, implementation planning and tracking, working with field teams and local partners
- Experience working in fragile, conflict-affected, or emergency contexts
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and solve operational challenges
- Experience supervising Project Managers or field teams
- Fluent Myanmar (required) – strong ability to communicate with field teams, partners, and local stakeholders
- Excellent English (written and spoken) – required for coordination and reporting
- Based in National Office with extensive field presence
- Minimum 50–70% travel to project sites across multiple locations
- Ability to work in remote, hard-to-reach, and insecure environments
- Flexible and willing to spend extended periods in field locations
- Good health and physical ability to travel to project areas and participate in field activities.
- Experience in consortium or multi-partner project coordination
- Strong understanding of humanitarian operations and emergency response
- Familiarity with donor-funded project implementation requirements
- Strong interpersonal, coordination, and facilitation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Experience working with World Vision or similar INGOs is an advantage
