Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to join the Advanced Space Programs, Boeing Phantom Works team in El Segundo, CA
This position represents a critical leadership role within Phantom Works--responsible for leading current space programs, crafting future technology maturation campaigns, and on-ramping and/or transitioning future Space Systems for Boeing and its customers. Responsibilities include program management, strategy development, experimentation and rapid prototyping, customer engagement, and transition of advanced technology to main line Boeing programs and merchant vendor markets.
Position Responsibilities:
Serves as single-face-to-the-customer for Senior Manager, Phantom Works Space, focusing on modernization, prototyping, and advanced concept development within the space domain
Supports the Space Phantom Works business portfolio in pursuit of future franchises and capabilities in alignment with the Long-Range Business Plan (LRBP)
Establishes a clear portfolio mission and vision, develops an operating plan and principles, and manages the Phantom Works Space Division, including goal setting and employee engagement
Manages all aspects of program execution, including overseeing subcontracts and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget
Interfaces directly with the Senior Manager, Phantom Works Space and maintains seamless communications with internal Division project/program managers, executives, and local officials, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and success in advancing space technologies and solutions
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years’ experience managing or leading people or teams
5+ years’ experience performing budget or cost performance analysis
5+ years’ experience developing and deploying organizational strategies and leading long-range business plan processes
5+ years’ experience communicating, collaborating, and building consensus with internal and external stakeholders
5+ years’ experience preparing and presenting to executives, senior leadership, and external customers
5+ years’ experience working with Military or DoD customers
Experience with profit and loss accountability
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Program Management certification (Program Management Professional, Defense Acquisition University Certification, and/or Certified Account Manager)
Military operational or test experience involving Space systems
Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM)
Proven program management experience on large-scale program to ensure business, technical, and customer requirements are achieved
Experience developing joint war fighting strategy and solutions
Theater-level campaign analysis and planning experience
Test experience in Space and graduate of formal test training course highly desired
Proven success collaborating across organizational boundaries
Technical experience in complex mission systems development and integration
Well-developed organizational skills

Work Location:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 20% of the time.
