Your tasks:

In one of the central functions of the exchange, you are in close contact with our external partners and internal colleagues in the different departments we work closely together with. As a Senior Market Operator (f/m/f) with focus on EEX’ Emerging Power Markets business, you will be active on this core functional area and its related markets. Furthermore, you take responsibility to ensure in close cooperation with the Head of Environmental & Emerging Power Markets, and together with the senior team of the department, the organisation and operation of this functional area and/or related technical systems. In your role of a Senior Market Operator (f/m/d) in our team Environmental & Emerging Power Markets, you do also ensure the daily operation of the different markets we are responsible for. You will provide support to trading participants about trading relevant questions when it comes to the functions of our tools used and the content of the products we offer. You will be able to develop your area of responsibility in line with our focus to build and operate secure and successful commodity markets worldwide. You can contribute your expertise during initiatives as well as in projects and participate in developments in the field of our team Environmental & Emerging Power Markets. In doing so, you will become a valued partner for different stakeholders inside EEX Group as well as for external partner. You bring along:

  • Degree (Bachelor or Master) in economics or comparable course of study
  • Experiences and knowledge in the field of energy or commodity trading
  • Strong commitment to your tasks and the team
  • Mindset of ownership and willingness to act with personal responsibility for task and in projects
  • Strong interest in Energy and Environmental Markets
  • Flexibility paired with a high degree of reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast pacing and international work environment
  • Good language skills in English (spoken and written in business context)
