The Opportunity

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Product Validation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will apply your comprehensive understanding of product validation to a wide range of tasks, contributing actively to interdisciplinary matters, especially those related to test and validation interfaces. You will be instrumental in solving complex technical challenges and driving the automated validation of our innovative semiconductor products.

What You Will Do

  • Apply a complete understanding of product validation concepts and company procedures to resolve difficult issues and make recommendations.

  • Solve high-complexity, unique problems, often requiring interdisciplinary expertise and system-level thinking (e.g., researching related products, processes, and qualification status).

  • Mentor other engineers, sharing your expertise in problem-solving and technical approaches.

  • Create and execute schedules for complex validation tasks and provide accurate estimates for execution.

  • Develop and execute efficient automated control of bench equipment for the validation of Allegro ICs

  • Design and implement complex and optimized test code independently, developing new functions of diverse scope.

  • Develop comprehensive evaluation plans for new or pathfinder products of high complexity.

  • Contribute to the product definition, including Design for Test (DFT) and trim strategies.

  • Possess a deep understanding of standard circuit blocks across a wide variety of Allegro product types and be able to understand new/innovative architectures, circuits, and algorithms.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.

  • Proven ability to resolve difficult technical issues and make sound recommendations with good judgment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills for high-complexity, unique problems, demonstrating interdisciplinary expertise.

  • Demonstrated ability to create schedules, provide estimates, and manage priorities effectively for complex tasks.

  • Expertise in writing and implementing complex and optimized test code independently.

  • Ability to participate in technical planning discussions and drive DFT creation.

  • Deep understanding of circuit blocks and the ability to grasp new architectures and algorithms.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
