Job Description

Amazon Private Brands Quality Management team is looking for a smart,  hard-working and creative member to join our team. The successful candidate will show excellent judgment and instincts in decision making and proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazon's business, its platform, and relevant technologies. This is an exciting and challenging position that provides quality support as a Subject Matter Expert in the Shenzhen Amazon office to ensure successful adherence with customer satisfaction and worldwide product and consumer safety requirements.  

The position is responsible for Amazon's worldwide quality program for Hardline categories focusing in the quality area. By supporting quality improvement approaches while creating innovative solutions that move at internet speed. This position will have an opportunity to apply SME level knowledge in new and exciting ways. We are looking for a talented SME Quality Manager, who has direct experience with manufacturing operations, Manufacturer qualification, Inspections and Audits, testing and quality strategies to support our rapidly growing and evolving business. 

Key job responsibilities
- Applying SME level knowledge of quality strategies and processes in multiple product categories by engagement with contract manufacturers and Original design manufacturer
- Develop best-in-class New Product for Amazon Private Brands
- Develop best-in-class processes and systems, and drive continual improvement
- Manage New Product ramp post-launch
- Drive scalable business solutions which ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicate technical, quality, and process requirements to non-technical stakeholders
- Monitor and train vendors to improve quality and customer satisfaction performance

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, material engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields
- Experience in hands-on expertise in identifying cause-and-effect relationships for key commodities such as mechanical parts, PCBs, or lens modules
- Experience in consumer products and have completed at least two product life cycles
- Experience in identifying a customer need, building a product to meet that need, and launching that product
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience working with technical and non-technical business owners/partners to overcome obstacles and deliver results
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in tech, electronics, consumer goods, or other fast-paced, technology-driven businesses
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
