The Role

We are looking for a Product Owner to support Lito —Litera'sGenAI platform — as it evolves from a chat-based agent into a Litera-wide platform that supercharges every legal and business workflow across the Litera product ecosystem. Working closely with the Lito Product Management team, you will serve as the critical link between product strategy and engineering execution, ensuring that the team is always building the right things in the right order.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role at the intersection of AI, legal technology, and agile development. The successful candidate will own the product backlog, define and refine user stories, and act as the day-to-day decision-maker for the development team — translating the Lito platform vision into well-scoped, actionable work that ships with quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Own andmaintaina well-prioritized product backlog that reflects business value, user needs, and technical dependencies

  • Translate product strategy and roadmap initiatives into clear, detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready requirements

  • Partner closely with Product Managers to ensure backlog items align with the broader Lito platform vision and roadmap

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the engineering and design teams during daily development activities, providingtimelyclarification and decisions

  • Facilitate sprint ceremonies including planning, reviews, and retrospectives in partnership with the Scrum Master or Agile Lead

  • Validate and accept completed work against defined acceptance criteria, ensuring quality and alignment with user expectations

  • Gather and synthesize input from customers, customer success, and internal stakeholders to continuously refine and improve the backlog

  • Identify, document, and communicate dependencies, risks, and blockers that mayimpactdelivery timelines

  • Collaborate with UX/Design to ensure wireframes, prototypes, and user flows are well-defined before entering development

  • Monitor sprint velocity and delivery health, escalating concerns and recommending adjustments as needed

  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of product decisions, feature specifications, and release notes

  • Support go-to-market activities by providing detailed feature context to Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a closely related role within an agile software development environment

  • Demonstrable experience writing high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for complex software products

  • Familiarity with generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies; experience working on AI-powered products is strongly preferred

  • Experience working in the legal technology market or a closely related professional services industry is a plus

  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working within structured sprint cycles

  • Ability to balance competing priorities and make confident, well-reasoned backlog decisions in a fast-moving environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders

  • High attention to detail anda strong senseof ownership over delivery quality and timeline

  • Experience with product and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms

  • Experience working within a Microsoft 365 / Azure ecosystem is a plus
