We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that attracts exceptional talent and to supporting our employees to succeed at all levels. We dream in over 35 languages and share one mission:to engineerexperiences that amaze.

The Senior Product Operations & Strategy Manager for Edge & AI Solutions is responsible for strengthening how HP’s Edge & AI product portfolio operates—ensuring alignment, consistency, and data-informed decision making across a diverse set of solutions.

This role acts as a portfolio‑level enabler for Product Strategy, working across Product Management, Engineering, Design, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure the Edge & AI strategy is executed into clear priorities, shared best practices, and measurable outcomes. The focus is not on owning individual products, but on improving how products are conceived, prioritized, validated, and scaled across the portfolio.

Success in this role requires strong systems thinking, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to synthesize customer, market, and product signals into insights that improve strategic decisions—particularly in real‑world Edge & AI deployment environments.

Key responsibilities:

Product Alignment & Portfolio Coherence

  • Support alignment across the Edge & AI product portfolio by helping teams connect product strategy to clear priorities, sequencing, and success criteria.
  • Identify gaps, overlaps, and dependency risks across solutions, especially where hardware‑adjacent, platform, and solution‑level work intersects.
  • Help ensure Edge & AI offerings evolve cohesively as a portfolio, not as disconnected point solutions.

Product Operating Practices, Cadence & Standards

  • Lead and maintain the portfolio‑level product operating cadence, including quarterly planning, portfolio reviews, and cross‑team prioritization alignment.
  • Define, promote, and evolve product best practices across the portfolio, including planning, validation, readiness, and learning loops.
  • Establish lightweight, scalable product operating mechanisms that improve clarity and execution without introducing unnecessary process.
  • Help teams adopt consistent approaches to product discovery, prioritization, and outcome tracking—while respecting differences in solution maturity.

Outcome Based Product Strategy Support

  • Enable strong data‑based decision making by ensuring the right product, customer, and deployment signals are visible, comparable, and actionable.
  • Enable structured customer and user learning across the portfolio by supporting consistent approaches to interviews, surveys, and other research activities.
  • Coordinate across functions to ensure insights are accessible and actionable, helping teams incorporate customer, usage, and deployment learnings.

Core Outputs & Artifacts

  • Portfolio Roadmap that provides cross‑solution visibility into priorities, dependencies, and sequencing across Edge & AI offerings.
  • Standardized Product Discovery Model A shared framework for customer validation, problem definition, and solution testing, scaled appropriately across solution maturity levels.
  • Synthesized Customer Insights Consolidated insights drawn from customer interviews, field deployments, usage data, and partner feedback.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clearer alignment across Edge & AI product teams on strategy, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Product decisions increasingly grounded in real customer, deployment, and usage evidence.
  • Consistent, lightweight product practices that improve speed, clarity, and quality across the portfolio.
  • Clear, customer insights, and product performance through standardized frameworks and synthesis of key signals.

Experience knowledge & skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management in solutions focused teams (software and hardware).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at the portfolio level, influencing product direction without direct ownership of individual products.
  • Strong qualitative synthesis skills—connecting customer insights, deployment experiences, and product signals into clear narratives.
  • Experience preparing executive‑ready portfolio reviews, recommendations, and trade‑off discussions.
  • Comfort working with product, engineering, sales, and field teams to source inputs and reconcile conflicting signals.
  • Working knowledge of product and business metrics (without requiring hands on analytics ownership).
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior product leaders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
  • MBA is a plus but not required

The pay range for this role is$147,050to$230,850USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Benefits:

HP offers a comprehensive benefits package for this position, including:

  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Long term/short term disability insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Flexible spending account
  • Life insurance
