Job Description

Senior Product Marketing Manager

Department: General and Administrative

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Washington, DC

Reporting To: Cat Meurn

Surgo Health is building healthcare’s universal “Why Engine”: an AI-powered platform that uncovers the beliefs, biases and barriers behind people’s health decisions. Our solutions, BehavioralPulse™, Mosaic™, and Derin™ integrate behavioral, clinical, and conversational data to empower life sciences, payers, providers and public sector organizations to drive real impact.
You will own Surgo Health’s marketing and shape how BehavioralPulse™, Mosaic™, and Derin™ are positioned, communicated, and understood. You will define how we tell our story to the healthcare industry, how we generate demand, and how we support the sales engine with clear, differentiated messaging.

If you are energized by complexity, ready to own end-to-end go-to-market for a set of innovative solutions, and thrive in high-velocity environments, this is the role for you.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Messaging & Positioning
Develop and refine the core narratives for BehavioralPulse, Mosaic, and Derin. Articulate how each product delivers unique value to various healthcare market segments and how they work together as a suite.
  • Thought Leadership & Content
Own white papers and research-driven articles that establish Surgo Health as a voice of authority in Life Sciences data & AI.
  • Case Studies & Customer Stories
Partner with customers and internal teams to surface stories of real‐world impact: how our platform changed outcomes, decisions, or behaviors.
  • Sales Enablement Collateral
Create decks, one-pagers, product briefs and competitive differentiation materials to arm sales, account teams and partners.
  • Webinars & Conferences
Plan and execute our presence at key industry events, as well as digital webinars, ensuring each appearance advances our positioning and pipeline.
  • Lead Generation & Marketing Engine Development
Collaborate with the GTM team to build scalable demand systems: top-of-funnel content, nurture programs, event funnels, partner co-marketing. Continuously test, measure and improve lead flow and conversion from marketing qualified leads (MQLs) into the sales pipeline.

About you:

  • Have 4+ years of experience in product marketing in healthcare, growth marketing or a similar role ideally in B2B SaaS and/or startups.
  • Possess intimate knowledge of the healthcare market across Public Health, Philanthropy, Payors, and Life Sciences
  • Are a strong writer and storyteller: you write fluidly, clearly, persuasively, and can take technical ideas and convert them into compelling narratives.
  • Are excited by working with multiple products concurrently, and comfortable creating coherence across a product suite.
  • Thrive in an environment where you’ll be setting up functions, defining processes, and driving forward with limited precedent.

  • If you prefer long timelines, highly structured environments, or incremental work: this is a fast-moving startup role.
  • If you require heavy supervision or detailed program frameworks handed to you: you’ll take extreme ownership and build much of this from scratch.
  • If you’re looking to specialize narrowly (e.g., only writing content) this role spans messaging, content, campaigns, events, and product lines.

About Surgo Health

We are a mission-driven AI company on a quest to humanize healthcare—powered by science, shaped by values.

Surgo Health is building healthcare’s universal “Why Engine”—an AI-powered platform that generates novel intelligence about the people behind the patients and uses this to power smarter, more human-centered care.

Too many decisions in healthcare are made without a full understanding of individuals and the barriers they face in engaging with their care. These barriers—whether related to participating in clinical trials, accessing preventive or treatment services, or adhering to medication—are often non-clinical. Yet they remain largely overlooked, leading to inefficiencies and missed opportunities.

The future of healthcare will rest on a deep understanding of people—not just as clinical entities, but as human beings shaped by context, experience, and behavior.

We generate data, build products, and design solutions. We are equally engaged with policy—because we believe real shifts in healthcare require real policy change. Our work enables smarter client action, better investment decisions, and systems-level transformation powered by evidence-based policy.
