As Senior Product Manager you will originate and build data-driven AI products.

We are seeking a Product Expert who has experience in Discovery and Experimentation and shipped products successfully – to be part of our Wholesale Banking AI discovery squad. This is not a traditional product management role, with a clearly demarcated remit. It is an entrepreneurial and global role in an innovative international team, continuously discovering and delivering the highest-impact AI opportunities for ING and its clients.

What we expect from you

  • Lead product discovery. Find (data) problems, prioritize idea backlog and design and execute experiments to decide what problems need solving. It is ensuring those solutions are used, trusted, and deliver measurable business value.

  • ING is an entrepreneurial organization and ideas with AI are being pushed continuously globally. You manage this funnel and intake process accordingly together with colleagues in Tech and Digital and manage stakeholders on all levels.

  • You want to focus on one topic at the time.
  • You like others to do the work for you. Hands on work is something from the past.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience. You worked as a product manager before, in a technology driven organization, preferably in financial services.
  • Show proof points you can think strategically, but also have hands on experience bringing a product from concept to the market.
  • Experience with experimentation and discovery
  • University degree
  • Written and spoken fluency in English, Dutch is a pré

What could your day look like?

Any given day will be different, but one of them might look like this: Start off the day with the daily standup with the Discovery squad. Afterwards you work with them planning and defining the upcoming experiments. The next meeting is with UX, who wants to run through his latest research results with you. This will be important input for you to prioritize the backlog for upcoming sprint.

Just for lunch you go through the results of an experiment where first part of an agentic workflow in Wholesale Bank were tested.

You go for lunch with the hot AI Fintech that is using voice data to predict trading behavior, who you spotted coming out of a Startup Accelerator.

Then, you run a workshop with a team that has been thinking about an AI-related idea and help them work it out into a concrete AI proposal, showing value with quick experiments.

In the hallway you meeting with a colleague who is working on AI driven investment algo’s. This could be a project for our upcoming experiment week.
