Job Description

About Grover

Founded in 2015, Grover enables consumers and businesses across Europe to subscribe to tech devices and comprehensive technology solutions - from individual smartphones, laptops, and wearables to full corporate device setups. The company offers access to over 1,000 unique tech items on flexible and financially convenient terms. A pioneer of the circular economy, Grover refurbishes and recirculates devices to help eliminate e-waste.

At Grover, we give more people access to tech and free them from the burden of ownership. Winning someone’s first order is the easy part. The real craft, and the heart of this role, is what happens next: turning that first subscription into a lasting relationship. As a Senior Product Manager on our Retention team, you’ll own the experience that keeps hundreds of thousands of renters engaged, deepens their trust in Grover, and grows a single subscription into a long-term, multi-device one.

You’ll join our Product team at our Berlin HQ (3 days per week, Tuesday to Thursday), reporting into our Director of Product and working day to day with CRM and lifecycle marketing, engineering, design, and data, with regular exposure to senior leadership.

What you will contribute

  • Define, own, and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the retention and engagement lifecycle.
  • Own the end-to-end post-acquisition journey that turns single-subscription renters into engaged, multi-subscription customers, leading the full product lifecycle from discovery to launch across the mobile app, My Tech, subscription management (extend, upgrade, return, buy), multi-subscription flows, and lifecycle notifications.
  • Shape an engaging experience that grows customer lifetime value and reduces revocation.
  • Own and drive the KPIs that define success, such as Multi-Sub Adoption Rate, mobile app engagement, churn and revocation rate, and customer lifetime value (CLV), treating them as a connected system rather than a scorecard.
  • Drive product discovery through A/B testing, user research, and deep data analysis to understand what renters actually need and find new opportunities for engagement and growth.
  • Navigate the real trade-offs between growth and credit risk, partnering with CRM and lifecycle marketers, engineers, designers, and data analysts, and communicating strategy, priorities, and results clearly to senior leadership.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on product management experience, with a proven track record of shipping successful, user-facing products in a B2C environment.
  • Significant experience working directly on a retention, engagement, lifecycle, or subscription-focused product team.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. You’re an expert in data-driven decision-making, A/B testing, cohort analysis, and user analytics, and you can tell a clear story from a messy dataset.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to lead and align cross-functional teams toward a shared goal.
  • Deep knowledge of agile development methodologies like SCRUM and Kanban.
  • Proficiency with modern product and analytics tools such as Jira, Amplitude, and Miro.

It’s a plus

  • Experience in e-commerce, fintech, or subscription-based business models.
  • A solid understanding of lifecycle marketing and CRM fundamentals, and how they intersect with product strategy.
  • Experience with experimentation platforms like Amplitude, Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize, or Eppo.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

The Grover Way: How We Drive Success

  • Own It: We take ownership seriously and define what success looks like. We drive shared ownership and don’t wait, we drive. We keep one another accountable and take responsibility when issues arise.
  • Challenge, Decide, and Commit: We engage in proactive support, active listening, and healthy conflict to reach the best outcomes. We value diverse perspectives and, once a decision is made, we commit to it fully.
  • Empower and Grow: We enable, trust, and coach one another toward high performance, always thinking and acting like owners. We seek growth, apply feedback, and support the development of our peers.
  • Respect, Transparency, and Clarity: We strive for clear, respectful, and open communication with no surprises. We simplify complex information so everyone knows the “what, why, and how”.

What you will love about us

  • BVG monthly discount to drive you everywhere in Berlin
  • Mental health support with Nilohealth
  • Physical health support with Urban Sports Club
  • Annual learning budget of 750€
  • 15 remote business days to work abroad
  • Exclusive Grover Tech discount for you and your loved ones
  • Engaging, open office located in Berlin-Schöneberg with regular events, and is dog-friendly
  • A diverse global team of 75 nationalities (and counting!), genuinely the nicest group of colleagues who will soon become friends

Embark on a rewarding journey with the Grover Rocketship, where your impact is felt, and together, we cultivate a more circular world.

Grover is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and welcome every applicant, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or background.

About Grover

Grover is the global leader in technology rentals, enabling people and empowering businesses to subscribe to tech products monthly instead of buying them.

Founded in 2015 by Michael Cassau, Grover’s mission is to make exceptional technology more accessible, because technology is a basic human right. With Grover and Grover Business, subscribers and companies get access to a wide range of tech products, including smartphones, laptops and smartwatches on a flexible, monthly rental basis.

Once a product rental period has ended, Grover’s service allows its users to return the product free of charge. They can also decide to extend the product rental length or exchange the product for something else. Grover Business even takes care of the tech procurement and management process so that companies can stay focused on growth.

Rentals are available in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Spain at GROVER.COM, as well as in Germany through Grover’s online and offline partner network, including Europe’s leading electronics retail group, MediaMarktSaturn.

Grover is a pioneer in the circular economy: Its business model of renting out and refurbishing tech products contributes to devices being used more frequently and for a longer period. This increases the potential to avoid e-waste. To date, Grover has circulated more than 1.2 million devices in total.

With total funding of around €1.4 billion to date and over 400 employees, Grover is one of the fastest-growing scaleups in Europe.
