We are looking to hire ambitious, and value-adding talent to join Modulr, the fastest growing payments business in the UK and Europe. The Product Manager, Compliance Hub is a new role within our Product team and will play a critical role in ensuring we build a world-class financial crime operations center.

About Us

At Modulr our mission is to move money efficiently to power business productivity. We are building a new digital payments service to make money flow more efficiently through businesses and the economy. This is a new type of payments account that is built for businesses that need faster, easier and more reliable ways to move money.

Our flexible platform and innovative approach allows our customers to utilise our payments account instead of a traditional bank account. Our accounts come with a sort code and account number, access to payment systems (eg Faster Payments and Visa) and everything our customers need from a payments account. They can instantly open as many accounts as they need, automate how they make and receive payments as well as the reconciliation processes these create. All in real time, 24/7 through their own systems utilising our API that integrates into any platform.

What You’ll Do

The Product team is a core part of Modulr and works cross-functionally with all teams across the business and this role is going to be part of product team responsible for our expansion to the US.

• Manage a team of 1-3 Product Managers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their role responsibilities and performance conversation.
• Translate a high-level business problem, complete in-depth analysis of the use case, identify a solution and form an implementation plan.
• Take technical specifications and implementation guides and translate these into high-quality epic and user story definitions with clear acceptance criteria.
• Represent product and driving the timely execution of your roadmap whilst managing product incidents, support requests and engineering initiatives.
• Work with both internal and external stakeholders to elicit comprehensive business requirements and execute technical designs and specifications that address these requirements.
• Ensure scalable ways of working with our engineering function to prioritise requirements and deliver at pace each sprint.
• Ensure end-to-end delivery of products, working cross-functionally to understand and manage all implications on teams across the business ahead of go-live.
• Ensure internal documentation and functional product collateral is created and maintained.
• Effectively use data to inform prioritisation and drive decision-making.
• Actively manage key supplier relationships for your products.
• Establish the performance and scalability of your products against KPIs, including ensuring issues are triaged and resolved in a timely manner and responding to changes in market and client demands.
• Work closely with the wider product and marketing team to ensure we successfully package products to solve problems for our customers.

What You’ll Need

• Deep expertise in business analysis and /or technical product development.
• Experience building payments products is a key requirement, with a preference for direct experience with payment schemes / gateways.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, with commercial acumen to harness data-driven insights to inform prioritisation and decision-making.
• Experience driving forward cross-functional change, pro-actively taking initiative.
• Experience leading a team of Product Managers, ensuring your team is high performing.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with external stakeholders.
• A strong work ethic, entrepreneurial mindset, and willingness to roll-up sleeves, focusing on solutions and outcomes rather than problems and process.
