About the role:

Expression is core to our mission and everyday, millions of people come to Marketplace to discover and shop for creations that help them express their individuality. They dress and play with their avatar as they connect with friends across thousands of immersive digital experiences. Powering the creativity of our Marketplace is our community of creators and developers who are building businesses and establishing their brand by selling creations.

Our Marketplace is a critical component of Roblox’s economy, accounting for a third of economic activity on the platform. As a Senior Product Manager on Marketplace, you will have a front seat at shaping the future of the Marketplace and what it means to build an economy powered by our community. This role reports to the Director of product.

You will:

  • Be responsible building and shipping user centric products on Marketplace that help consumers and creators
  • Get hands-on with our community, understand their needs, and partner with the engineers, designers and data scientists to build roadmaps
  • Balance the needs of a two-sided Marketplace, constantly striving to deliver for our community and consumers, while using a combination of data and research to inform and iterate on decisions
  • Defend your POV against skeptics. Be open to feedback and adapting your ideas to deliver the best output
  • Help build the future of self-expression and shopping on Roblox!

You have:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience shipping high quality, delightful experiences with a focus on two-sided ecosystems across consumers and creators
  • A proven track record of building consumer products, powered by machine learning to solve business problems, especially search and recommendation systems
  • Degree in a technical or applied quantitative field or equivalent experience in: Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Operations research, Information theory, Control theory, Econometrics or similar experience.
  • Interdisciplinary experience. In addition to the standard product functions of design and engineering, you have experience working within a multidimensional environment including analytics, business development, communications/PR, and marketing
  • Skills to convey complex ideas through written, visual, and verbal communication, always focusing on the reasons behind everything you do. Those skills transition from the detailed and technical for specs to the inspirational for strategic presentations.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page

Annual Salary Range $262,190$330,950 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
