McCormick Canada is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the Canadian Marketing team. This role is part of McCormick’s Canadian Consumer Products Division and is based at the Drew Road office in Mississauga, ON. The position reports to the Senior Brand Manager on the Spice & Seasonings portfolio.

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for leading the Club House Straight fill and Blended spices portfolio to deliver profitable growth through annual business planning, commercialization of new innovation, portfolio management and ongoing business performance management.

This role develops and executes Annual Business Plans, leads commercialization, renovation and portfolio initiatives. It also owns ongoing business management activities including forecasting, financial performance, and monthly business deliverables. The Senior Product Manager partners across Marketing, Sales, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Consumer Insights, Regulatory, R&D and Global Marketing to successfully execute business priorities and deliver annual sales, profit and market share objectives.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative marketer with strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and project leadership skills This role requires the ability to influence cross-functional teams, remove barriers, manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic Consumer Packaged Goods environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Business Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute Annual Business Plans that deliver against annual sales, profit and market share objectives.
  • Manage assigned business segments by identifying risks, opportunities and business recommendations to improve performance.
  • Lead portfolio optimization initiatives including assortment, pricing, packaging, product lifecycle management and productivity opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales to identify customer opportunities and develop customer-ready business recommendations that support profitable growth.

Commercialization & Business Execution

  • Lead commercialization of innovation, renovation, packaging, pricing, productivity and seasonal initiatives for assigned business segments.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver commercialization initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Support development of marketing briefs in partnership with the Senior Brand Manager and lead execution of key seasonal programs.
  • Identify project risks, remove barriers and drive successful execution across cross-functional teams.


Financial Management & Business Performance

  • Lead ongoing business management activities including forecasting, shipment pacing, IBP deliverables and monthly business performance reporting.
  • Develop PMR inputs, business updates and recommendations that support portfolio reviews and business decision making.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Demand Planning and Supply Planning to improve forecast accuracy and deliver annual business objectives.
  • Monitor financial performance and recommend actions to address business risks and opportunities.


Consumer & Marketplace Insights

  • Leverage syndicated data, consumer research, marketplace trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Translate insights into actionable business recommendations that support Annual Business Planning, commercialization and portfolio management.
  • Monitor marketplace performance and recommend actions that strengthen portfolio competitiveness.


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver commercialization, portfolio initiatives and Annual Business Plans.
  • Partner with Global Marketing to execute global initiatives within the Canadian market while providing business input for assigned business segments.
  • Influence cross-functional partners, build alignment and proactively remove barriers to successfully deliver business priorities.
  • Contribute to the management and support of the Senior Associate Product Manager to enable effective delivery of priorities across Total Consumer Spices & Seasoning portfolio.
  • Support additional business priorities, strategic initiatives, and recurring monthly deliverables and PMR, as required to meet Marketing and business objectives.
  • Travel (10-25%) may be required.

EDUCATION

  • University Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience. MBA is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of progressive Marketing experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in annual business planning, commercialization, forecasting and portfolio management.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing business performance and financial analysis.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex business initiatives.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using syndicated data sources (Nielsen IQ/Circana), consumer insights and marketplace analytics.
  • Experience writing brand activation and research briefs including the ability to translate brand, consumer and commercial objectives into clear actionable guidance for in market execution.
  • Strong project management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Sales, Trade Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D and Global Marketing.
  • Bilingual skills (English/French) are an asset

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $112,030-$162,030

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan In addition to a competitive compensation package, permanent employees of McCormick Canada are eligible for our extensive Total Rewards programs that include:
