Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Senior Product Manager to lead our Data Platform Services and Interoperability team. You will be at the heart of our data transformation, shaping the future of our Data Mesh environment on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with the Platform Engineering team, the Data Governance team, and senior leaders to build a cohesive vision for our core data services, enabling data-driven decision-making by delivering robust, scalable, and interoperable platform capabilities. Manages research and development initiatives, overseeing the design, development, and qualification of new and existing software and hardware products. Provides technical leadership and strategic direction, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with overall product roadmap and business strategy.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the strategic product partner to the Platform Engineering team, Data Governance team, and senior leadership to align and communicate the vision for Data Platform Services and Interoperability.
  • Own and manage the product execution for core Data Platform Services
  • Participate in strategy, design, and execution for Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) Interoperability.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders in multiple departments to establish a strategic product roadmap.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch, from concept to commercialization.
  • Evaluates product performance and oversees the transition from development through market release.
  • Defines service scope and parameters, collaborating with planning roles, relationship managers, and capacity planners to forecast demand and ensure adequate resource allocation.
  • Determines product delivery and deployment dates for new product releases, feature enhancements, maintenance releases, and regular corrective service or service pack releases.
  • Serves as a technical expert and advisor to the product organization, leading research and prototyping efforts for innovative technologies and products.
  • Ensures alignment between the engineering technology roadmap and the overall product/business roadmap.
  • Acts as a primary technical liaison for clients, addressing complex integration issues, custom development requests, and product requirements.
  • Oversees major releases, ensuring feature enhancements align with customer needs and market demands.
  • Drives product delivery by managing schedules, resources, and tasks across all development phases.
  • Creates user documentation and coordinates end user training.
  • Tracks and analyzes key product performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identifies and evaluates market opportunities for product expansion.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to product development team or to product managers on best practices.
  • Operates under limited guidance and work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Regularly exercises independent judgment on matters of significance including selecting methods, techniques for obtaining results, and making recommendations.

Job Qualification

Bachelor's degree, required.·3-5 years of relevant experience, required.

Highly Preferred

  • Cloud & Data Platform Experience: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) and building platform-as-a-service or data-as-a-service products.
  • Data Mesh Acumen: Deep understanding and practical experience implementing or working within a Data Mesh architecture, with a passion for promoting "data as a product."
  • Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Experience in the healthcare industry, with strong knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and clinical systems (e.g., Epic, HIEs).
  • Identity & MDM Expertise Preferred: Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, particularly for Master Patient Index (MPI) or Provider registries (experience with Verato is a major plus).
  • Strategic Influence: Demonstrated experience in influencing a long-term vision and strategy for technical products, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both senior leaders and technical teams.
