Job Description

Join the Cyber-DNS team at CIRA and play a key role in advancing Canada’s cybersecurity and DNS infrastructure! Our Cyber-DNS team is dedicated to protecting Canadians online by delivering cutting-edge solutions.

You'll help shape the next generation of CIRA's security product portfolio. That means working across the full stack of cybersecurity, such as how organizations detect, investigate, and respond to threats, building toward more intelligent and integrated security experiences. You'll shape the evolution of CIRA's security platform, including XDR detection and response and DNS security capabilities. This stack will have you build everything from detection pipelines to automation workflows, while driving the integrations that connect it to our broader cybersecurity and DNS stack. The goal is a cohesive security solution, not a collection of tools. Some of what you build will be deeply technical. Some of it will be about making complexity disappear for the people who need it most.

You will work alongside engineers, analysts, and partners to translate security data into products that are both powerful and accessible. Whether that is streamlining how an analyst triages an alert, orchestrating responses across tools and teams, or expanding what CIRA's DNS-layer visibility can power at scale, the through-line is a security platform that works for the people defending Canadian networks.

If you are energized by building platforms that protect at scale and want your work to matter beyond the sprint, this is the role for you.

Who you are:

You are an experienced product leader who operates confidently at the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, and customer needs. You’ve led complex products and know how to translate technical capabilities into clear, practical value for customers.

With a strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, you work effectively with technical teams to make informed product decisions in a rapidly evolving environment. You bring a customer-focused, outcome-driven mindset and can design accessible, effective solutions for organizations with varying levels of security maturity and operational capacity.

You balance strategic thinking with execution, setting clear direction while delivering results in complex environments. You communicate clearly, collaborate across teams and build alignment among technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

What you’ll do:

  • Define, communicate and execute product roadmaps aligned with CIRA’s strategic priorities for cybersecurity products and services
  • Lead early-stage product discovery, platform evolution and decision-making for new cybersecurity capabilities, integrations and services
  • Define product requirements and success metrics informed by customer feedback, threat trends, market analysis and operational insights
  • Identify opportunities to leverage DNS-layer visibility, telemetry and threat intelligence to improve detection quality, automation and customer outcomes
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, security operations and partners to deliver secure, resilient and accessible product experiences
  • Balance long-term platform strategy with near-term delivery, helping teams make informed trade-offs in a fast-evolving threat landscape
  • Collaborate with channel partners, managed service providers and internal stakeholders to support product adoption and market expansion
  • Support go-to-market activities including product positioning, customer engagement and sales enablement for CIRA Cybersecurity Services
  • Support the sales cycle from customer engagement through to successful product implementation
  • Act as a subject matter expert, representing CIRA through customer engagements, webinars, conferences, trade shows and other industry events

What you bring:

  • 5-8 years of experience in product management, ideally within complex cybersecurity or technology environments
  • Experience conducting user and market research and translating insights into scalable, customer-focused products and services
  • Experience writing detailed functional requirements and working closely with agile engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat landscapes, and security operations workflows
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, sales, operations and external partners
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience bringing new products or capabilities from concept to launch is considered an asset (0-to-1)
  • Ability to make and defend prioritization decisions in high-pressure environments
  • Experience owning a product P&L or contributing to pricing and packaging decisions
  • Willingness and ability to travel
