Job Description

Job Title: Senior Product Manager, Application

Reports To: VP, Lending

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Business Development

Responsible for the customer-facing application flow, from initial entry through offer presentation, authentication, funding, and post-offer steps, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and high-converting experience. The primary objective of this role is to maximize application completion and minimize drop-offs across the funnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Application Experience Ownership

·Own the product roadmap for the loan application experience, including:

oApplication page flows and orchestration

oOffer presentation and selection

oACH setup and repayment configuration

oContract review and signing

oFunding experience and confirmations

·Drive cohesive, intuitive application journeys across new, returning, and refinance customers.

Experimentation & Conversion Optimization

·Lead A/B testing and experimentation across application flows, page sequencing, copy, form fields, and UX patterns.

·Identify drop-offs and friction points in the application funnel and drive initiatives to improve completion and funding rates.

·Partner with design and engineering to rapidly iterate on hypotheses and measure impact.

Authentication & Platform Integrations

·Own authentication experiences within the application flow.

·Partner with growth and marketing teams to support integration with affiliate and partner marketing platforms, ensuring clean attribution and optimized conversion.

·Support differentiated flows for returning customers and refinance journeys.

Specialized Application Flows

·Own application capabilities for:

oDirect Debt Payoff experiences

oReturning customer and refinance application flows

oFunding orchestration and downstream handoffs

·Ensure edge cases and operational considerations are well-defined and handled gracefully.

Execution & Delivery

·Write clear and detailed product requirements and collaborate closely with engineering on solution design.

·Manage sprint priorities and backlog for application-related work.

·Perform product UAT testing and ensure high-quality launches.

·Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related initiatives across engineering, design, marketing, and operations.

Measurement & KPIs

·Define, track, and optimize core application KPIs, including:

oApplication completion rate

oStep-level drop-off rates across the funnel

·Establish clear success metrics for experiments and new features and ensure rigorous post-launch analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ·Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Management, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

·5–8 years of product management experience, preferably in fintech, lending, financial services, or high-volume consumer-facing digital products.

·Demonstrated experience owning multi-step, high-volume consumer application flows.

·Strong background in A/B testing, experimentation, and conversion optimization.

·Experience working closely with design and engineering on complex UX and orchestration problems.

·Experience integrating with affiliate or partner marketing platforms is a plus.

·Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using data to drive prioritization and decisions.

·Proficiency with SQL or similar data querying tools (preferred).

·Experience working in an agile product development environment.

·Technical Acumen & UX Fluency: Understands application flows, authentication, integrations, and UX best practices. Can translate complex technical details into user-focused product solutions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and sit for a minimum of 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and/or tools. The employee is required to talk or hear with or without reasonable accommodation and must sometimes lift and move up to 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the logistics duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moderate noises such as computers, printers, and other light traffic noise in an office setting.

This role is in-office. Remote work may be performed from a pre-approved location, as arranged, and scheduled by team management and approved by department leadership.
