Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 5 years of experience taking technical products, mobile applications, or mobile connectivity SDKs from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
• Experience managing product direction using data-driven decisions.
• Experience managing partnerships with external global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Preferred qualifications

• Experience designing power, thermal, and performance architectures for power-constrained consumer electronics and wireless split-compute topologies.
• Deep technical understanding of OS internals, AOSP Core Platform architecture, Linux kernel power management, Android Runtime (ART), and low-level memory management.
• Familiarity with real-time perception workloads and their impact on system thermal and memory envelopes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive consensus and enforce technical discipline across disparate, high-velocity engineering organizations without direct authority (preventing "tragedy of the commons").

As the Senior Product Manager for System Health, you will serve as the chief custodian of performance, efficiency, and reliability across the entire Android XR device portfolio—spanning all-day Intelligent Audio and Display Glasses to tethered and standalone spatial computing headsets.

In this role, you will define and execute the multi-year System Health strategy for Android XR. You will establish and govern portfolio-wide resource budgets, lead cross-functional governance to resolve the conflicts across feature teams, and partner directly with silicon vendors and premier Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to deliver smooth, power-efficient, and rock-solid consumer products.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year System Health goals and govern resource budgets (power, thermals, memory, latency) across feature teams, setting launch exit criteria and driving telemetry diagnostics.
• Manage split-compute power envelopes, optimize battery drain, and hit Day-of-Use battery goals across Intelligent Eyewear and XR Glasses and Headsets.
• Lead OS memory optimization, reduce background process kills, and drive critical user journey latency improvements (e.g., multimodal AI, boot times, camera capture).
• Maintain crash-free session metrics, manage system regressions, and ensure seamless OTA update delivery.
• Partner with silicon vendors, OEMs, and internal teams to align on chipset requirements and platform performance.
