Job Description

Across Europe, fleets are under enormous pressure. Fuel costs are rising. Regulatory requirements are tightening. The shift to low-emission vehicles is accelerating. And yet around 70% of European businesses still manage their fleets manually, with spreadsheets, disconnected tools, and processes that were never built for this moment.

Shiftmove exists to make this simple. We are a profitable B2B SaaS company and the fastest-growing fleet management platform in Europe, born from the merger of Avrios and Vimcar, and now serving tens of thousands of corporate customers across Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, and beyond. Most recently, we acquired Optimum and Ocean in France, expanding our footprint and doubling down on one of Europe's largest fleet markets. Our AI-powered platform connects real-time vehicle data with intelligent software so that businesses can procure smarter, control costs, stay compliant, and lead the transition to cleaner mobility — all from one place.

The Role

You are walking into one of the most strategically important product domains at Shiftmove. The platform and ecosystem layer — the connective tissue between Avrios, Vimcar, Optimum, Océan, external partners — currently needs dedicated product ownership. That means there is real work to do, and real space to shape it.

You will own the product direction for this layer: deciding what becomes a reusable platform capability, what should stay market-specific, and where the team focuses first. You will work directly with Engineering, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders across Germany and France to bring clarity to an ambiguous domain and turn complex problems into focused product direction.

This is a build and define phase — not a steady-state role. The scope is large, the stakes are real, and the person who takes this on will have a direct impact on Shiftmove's ability to expand across Europe, grow cross-sell revenue, and establish the platform foundation behind the leading fleet mobility ecosystem on the continent. This is a mid to senior level role.

What You'll Do

Platform & Ecosystem Strategy: Own the product direction for our platform and integration scope, connecting our products, external partners, market-specific systems, and customer workflows across Europe.

Ambiguity into Direction: Create structure where ownership, priorities, and system boundaries are not yet fully defined. Decide what becomes a reusable platform capability, what should stay market-specific, and where the team focuses first.

Discovery and Delivery: Lead discovery and delivery for core platform capabilities: shared workflows, reusable integration patterns, APIs, data flows, and interoperability between products.

European Market Expansion: Build internationalisation capabilities that help our core products scale beyond one market at a time — starting with France enablement and designing for reuse across future markets.

Cross-Product Portfolio: Shape initiatives that bring Avrios, Vimcar, Optimum, and Océan closer together — reducing friction for customers and unlocking stronger cross-sell opportunities across the portfolio.

Stakeholder Alignment: Work closely with Engineering, GTM, Sales, Customer Success, country teams, and senior leadership to align priorities and move complex topics forward across products and markets.

Focus and Ownership: Protect the team from reactive request intake by setting clear priorities, defining ownership boundaries, and keeping focus on long-term platform value over one-off solutions.

Requirements

Who Thrives in This Role

Skills & Experience

  • B2B SaaS Product Management: Has owned end-to-end product management — discovery, prioritisation, delivery, and stakeholder alignment — in an dynamic environment
  • Platform & Integration Thinking: Understanding Ambiguity, data flows, system boundaries, multi-product architectures, and trade-offs between reusable and one-off solutions
  • AI-Native Product Operations: Actively uses AI in their product work — prototyping, vibe coding, discovery synthesis, concept testing — and can help evolve how the wider team operates
  • Discovery & Prioritisation: Strong at turning customer, business, and technical needs into clear product opportunities; sharp at making trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term platform impact
  • Technical Fluency: Understands APIs, integrations, data flows, and system boundaries well enough to have substantive conversations with Engineering and challenge assumptions
  • Language: Business fluent in German and English (C1+), this is a hard requirement for this role.

How You Work

  • You move topics forward without waiting for perfect clarity. When ownership is unclear, you create it. When priorities are undefined, you define them. You don't wait to be told what to own, you identify it and take it
  • You challenge up when something is wrong. You're comfortable pushing back on senior stakeholders if the direction doesn't make sense, and you do it with clarity and evidence, not defensiveness
  • You protect focus as a product principle. You understand that saying no is part of the job. You keep the team anchored to what matters, even when everything feels urgent

What Success Looks Like

In the first 6 months, you will build a strong understanding of our product portfolio, platform layer, and key integration opportunities. You will create clarity in an ambiguous domain, define a focused roadmap, and build trust with stakeholders including senior leadership. Over time, you will help establish reusable integration and internationalisation capabilities that make our platform more scalable across markets. Your work will strengthen the Shiftmove ecosystem, support European expansion and cross-sell, and create clearer ownership models for long-term product impact.

Why Join Shiftmove

  • You will own and shape a domain. The platform scope is not yet fully shaped — this is a rare opportunity to set the direction for a strategically critical area at a profitable, fast-growing company
  • Your work will shape how Shiftmove scales across Europe. From cross-product integrations to builduing a fleet ecosystem. , the decisions made in this role will determine how the Shiftmove portfolio expands and competes across markets
  • PE-backed context means your work directly influences how the business is valued and how decisions get made at the top
  • A company on a mission that is actually measurable: one million managed vehicles, cleaner fleets, a category being built in real time
  • A team that uses AI as a genuine product tool — and wants someone who can push that further, not just adopt tools but evolve how we work

Benefits

  • Vacation: 30 days
  • Workation: Up to 6 weeks per year working remotely from anywhere in the world
  • Development: €2,000 annual budget for personal and professional development
  • Main benefits: Urban Sports Club membership, Harmony subscription, JobRad, or a subsidy for a BVG ticket
  • Wellbeing: 1 Mental Health Day + Access to nilo.health
