We are purpose driven and collaborative, which drives innovation and our ability to make a real impact. These listings are testament to every person who helps make REA a great place to work.

Where the team fits in

Financial Services brings property and finance together. Through Mortgage Choice’s broker network, lending expertise and digital experiences, we help Australians navigate one of the most important and complex decisions they make: finding and financing a home.

Our products support consumers, clients, brokers, lenders and the Mortgage Choice business across the home-lending lifecycle. We are focused on making finance easier to understand, easier to progress and more likely to result in a suitable, successful outcome

What the role is all about

As a Senior Product Manager, you will set product direction and lead measurable outcomes across the customer and broker portal experiences that collect loan-application inputs, the quality and downstream use of that data, commissions, and the technology that connects these experiences. You will translate strategy into clear priorities, sequencing and delivery outcomes, make trade-offs transparent, and ensure that experiences, rules, data, operational processes and technology work together effectively.

You will

  • Lead continuous discovery with Mortgage Choice brokers, clients, Lending Services, Operations, Compliance, Risk and subject-matter experts to identify friction, unmet needs, operational issues and risk
  • Own the experience layers that help brokers and clients provide accurate, complete information and progress applications to submission
  • Partner with squads to align experiences, data contracts, downstream rules and submission flows, while maintaining clear ownership boundaries
  • Partner closely with Engineering, BAs, QA, Design and the Head of Engineering to turn customer and business needs into clear outcomes, well-defined priorities, quality releases and effective operational readiness
  • Work across distributed teams in Australia and overseas, building alignment across time zones, managing dependencies between squads and maintaining momentum through discovery, delivery and release
  • Provide product insights and recommendations to the Product Director and senior stakeholders on investment decisions, strategic trade-offs, and the evolution of the Mortgage Choice lending platform
  • Own product performance measurement and use research, service data, analytics, prototypes and experiments to understand and improve broker adoption, application quality, conversion, submission, fulfilment and settlement outcomes
  • Build strong working knowledge of the home-loan origination lifecycle, Mortgage Choice broker operations, application capture, data quality, evidence collection, broker and client experience, commissions and submission integrations. Understand how these layers connect with product rules or serviceability logic
  • Work with GTM, Change, Operations and Mortgage Choice leaders on launching readiness, broker communications, training, help content and sustained adoption

Who we’re looking for

  • Significant product management experience, with a track record of leading discovery, prioritisation, delivery and measurable outcomes for complex products, platforms or transformation programs
  • Experience in mortgage lending, fintech, banking or broking is essential
  • A solid understanding of home-loan origination, particularly broker and client journeys, application capture, data quality, evidence, submission and the experience layers that support downstream processing.
  • Experience delivering platform or transformation programs involving external vendors, integrations, data migration, testing, cutover and operational readiness is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead discovery and delivery across customer-facing experiences, shared capabilities, data, APIs and third-party integrations
  • Proven ability to work effectively across multiple product squads—including Application Capture, Commissions and Integrations—with Engineering, BAs, QA, Design, senior technology leaders and distributed teams based overseas.
  • Strong commercial and analytical judgement, with the ability to connect product metrics to broker productivity, customer outcomes, risk and business performance
  • Experience working with AI models and agent-based delivery is desirable, along with practical familiarity with product-development tools such as Confluence, Jira and Figma.
  • Excellent stakeholder leadership and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders, Lending Services, Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance and external partners
