Introduction

Optimizely is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to join our Commerce Connect team. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be an individual contributor who owns one or more significant product areas and excels at SaaS product management.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the roadmap and execution for the Commerce Connect product, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery. You will develop a thorough understanding of the features and technology within your assigned product domain(s) and will be recognized across the company as an expert in those areas.

You will also be responsible for identifying market opportunities, defining product requirements, and collaborating with engineering, UX, and GTM teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs in an agile/scrum environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful products, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We are seeking someone who is humble, collaborative, and highly team oriented.

Job Responsibilities

• Be the voice of the customer by gathering direct feedback from users & stakeholders and leveraging multiple tools to collate and prioritize requests to improve our products
• Own the product roadmap for Commerce Connect, balancing near-term customer value with long-term goals
• Proficiency in building agentic AI workflows in product, as well as using AI tools to be more efficient as a PM
• Communicate priorities, timelines, and decisions regularly to stakeholders; manage expectations and escalate risks when appropriate
• Apply prioritization principles that inform consistent, data-driven decisions to make tradeoffs across customer asks, tech debt, and new investments
• Drive discovery and research to validate customer problems and identify the highest-impact opportunities
• Draft Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) in thorough detail and with early inputs from Engineering and UX to ensure an optimal customer experience
• Partner closely with Engineering, UX, and Data/Analytics to deliver high-quality capabilities from concept through launch in an agile/scrum environment
• Motivate and lead the scrum team to deliver against commits and deadlines, providing required context, clearly communicating the value prop, setting timelines, and reporting to leadership
• Collaborate with GTM partners (Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) to support enablement, packaging, and customer-facing messaging
• Evangelize the company and department strategy and regularly communicate it to your team, focusing on customer benefits, ease and delight
• Connect company objectives to the team’s work by defining clear problem statements, requirements, and success metrics (KPIs/OKRs)
• Drive execution and adoption - learning and pivoting where necessary based on user feedback and data
• Monitor key product health signals (usage, reliability, performance) and work with partners to diagnose issues and prioritize fixes
• Contribute to improving how we operate as a product organization by strengthening processes, documentation, and cross-team collaboration
• Be a visible internal and external spokesperson for the product including presentations, demos, and customer calls
• Actively seek out and lead challenging projects

Knowledge and Experience

• 3+ years of SaaS product management experience
• Keen business acumen and a strong understanding of the fundamentals of business success
• Self-starter who has the ability to work cross-functionally and independently lead cross-functional initiatives
• Proven track record of delivering quality, on-time product deliverables with a measurable positive impact on the business
• Experience with rapid experimentation to learn quickly, iterate, and get it right
• Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changes in priority
• Experience owning a product area end-to-end (discovery, requirements, delivery, launch, iteration)
• Familiarity with eCommerce product/catalog concepts for B2C
• Proven ability to deliver quality work on time in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and stakeholder levels
• Ability to influence without direct authority and align partners around priorities
• Experience presenting product updates and tradeoffs to leadership and stakeholders

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
