Under the direction of the VP of Product Strategy, the Senior Product Manager owns the product portfolio for Replenitrac Vault, Automated Inventory Management (AIM), eDEA, and Blood Donor — a suite of practitioner-facing veterinary SaaS solutions that sit inside the daily clinical and operational workflows of veterinary hospitals, production animal practices, and specialty channels.
This role owns strategy, discovery, roadmap, and lifecycle outcomes across the portfolio in partnership with engineering, design, operations, commercial, and support teams. The Senior Product Manager is expected to bring a strong customer-facing product orientation — building products that veterinary professionals, technicians, and clinic staff actually choose to use — and to bring discovery, outcome ownership, and experimentation discipline to a portfolio with meaningful operational, regulatory, and integration complexity.
The ideal candidate is a tested product leader from a customer-facing software environment (veterinary, human health, clinical workflow, or other practitioner-facing SaaS) who treats inventory, controlled substance logging, and replenishment not as back-office plumbing but as the connective tissue of a clinical product experience. This role is not a fit for candidates whose primary background is internal-tools, CRM administration (e.g., Salesforce platform work), or systems integration for internal users.
Product Portfolio
Replenitrac Vault — controlled substance logging, reconciliation, and compliance workflows for veterinary practices.
Automated Inventory Management (AIM) — practitioner-facing inventory visibility, replenishment, and ordering experiences integrated with clinic operations.
eDEA — electronic DEA workflows and compliance-sensitive prescribing/ordering experiences.
Blood Donor — donor program management and clinical workflow support for blood bank operations.
These solutions are also strategic feeders into the broader MWI product ecosystem, including HelixVet unification efforts and the production animal veterinary team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own and evolve the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle outcomes for Replenitrac Vault, AIM, eDEA, and Blood Donor in alignment with portfolio and business goals.
Lead continuous product discovery with veterinary practitioners, technicians, clinic operators, and channel partners — including direct customer immersion, interviews, observational research, and prototype validation — to identify real workflow pain points and high-value opportunities.
Translate clinical workflow insights, customer feedback, market signals, and product data into clear product bets, prioritized backlogs, and well-formed requirements with measurable success criteria.
Partner with engineering and design as a true product trio to ship outcomes — not just features — and to balance discovery velocity with delivery discipline.
Define and own outcome metrics across adoption, engagement, retention, workflow efficiency, compliance posture, and commercial performance; use evidence to drive continuous improvement and to retire or rework underperforming areas.
Lead product positioning, launch, and lifecycle management in close partnership with marketing, communications, sales, customer success, and training — ensuring releases land with practitioners, not just in the codebase.
Incorporate compliance, auditability, role-based permissions, and regulatory considerations (DEA, controlled substance handling, clinical record integrity) into product planning as design constraints, not afterthoughts.
Maintain a current and informed view of competitive products, adjacent technologies, and emerging veterinary and human-health practitioner software trends; bring outside-in thinking into roadmap decisions.
Identify and shape integration opportunities and dependencies across the broader MWI portfolio — including HelixVet, production animal solutions, and downstream data consumers — without losing the customer-facing product lens.
Mentor product team members and contribute to elevating product craft, discovery rigor, and outcome orientation across the organization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of progressive product management experience, with a clear majority of that experience on customer-facing or practitioner-facing software products — not on internal tools, internal CRM administration, or systems-integration-only roles.
Demonstrated ownership of products from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization, with concrete examples of customer problems identified, hypotheses tested, outcomes measured, and roadmap decisions revised based on evidence.
Direct experience leading product discovery — customer interviews, workflow observation, prototype testing, and quantitative validation — in a clinical, healthcare, veterinary, or operationally complex consumer SaaS environment.
Track record of partnering as a peer with engineering and design to ship customer-loved software; comfort operating in Agile/Scrum environments with continuous delivery cadences.
Strong product judgment and prioritization under ambiguity, with the ability to make defensible tradeoffs across customer value, business value, technical feasibility, and regulatory/operational constraints.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence executives, commercial leaders, and customers without direct authority.
Strong analytical fluency — comfort defining instrumentation, reading product analytics, and using qualitative and quantitative evidence together to make decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Veterinary Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent product leadership experience will be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Product management experience in veterinary software, animal health, human health technology, clinical workflow software, or other practitioner-facing SaaS.
Experience with compliance-sensitive workflows — controlled substance handling, DEA/regulatory environments, audit trails, identity verification, or role-based permissions — as a product design surface, not just a backend obligation.
Experience with inventory management, replenishment, or supply chain workflows where the primary user is a practitioner or clinic operator rather than a back-office or procurement user.
Experience operating in legacy product environments — modernizing user experiences, untangling tribal knowledge, and improving documentation, prioritization discipline, and outcome measurement.
Experience in platform or multi-product environments, including products that feed shared data or unified UX layers (e.g., portfolio unification, master data, or platform consolidation work).
Experience mentoring Product Owners, Product Managers, or Product Specialists.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Customer-focused mindset with genuine curiosity about veterinary and clinical practitioner workflows.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution and delivery discipline.
Strong collaboration and influence skills across engineering, design, commercial, and operations partners.
Comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving, and operationally complex environments.
Ability to define and evolve outcome metrics, and to evaluate product performance over time with intellectual honesty.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead multiple workstreams across a multi-product portfolio.
