Key Responsibilities May Include:
You will be responsible for the product lifecycle of future-ready IoT tracking devices and supporting infrastructure, from concept and requirements definition through design, release, and customer support.
The ideal candidate combines sound business acumen with a strong technical understanding of IoT device ecosystems, including sensors, connectivity, firmware, and hardware design.
They will translate stakeholder needs, customer insights, and market trends into scalable, innovative product offerings. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, supply chain, quality, operations, and commercial teams to ensure products meet performance, cost, sustainability, and regulatory targets across global markets.
Roles and Responsibilities
Engage with product partners, analyse market trends and competitive landscapes to identify emerging technologies, opportunities and areas of differentiation.
Collaborate with the business to refine product vision, strategy, key metrics, and both business and technical requirements.
Define and translate product use cases into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements.
Work closely with hardware engineering, firmware, and design teams to communicate and deliver requirements from concept through release. Collaborate with other Product Managers and design teams, especially data analytics and cloud, to ensure integration with broader tracking systems and digital platforms.
Manage product roadmaps, feature prioritisation, and delivery timelines across cross-functional teams.
Prepare clear and concise documentation and presentations to communicate product capabilities to internal and external stakeholders.
Support commercial and marketing teams with product messaging and go-to-market materials.
Define product value propositions and success metrics for key customer and operational use cases.
Interpret, influence, and apply relevant global standards and regulatory requirements for IoT hardware.
Maintain a standards roadmap and ensure alignment across engineering, quality, operations, and compliance.
Represent the company in industry groups and standards organisations to stay aligned with evolving requirements.
Drive the product and business planning process across cross-functional teams.
Assess competitor offerings and identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
Skills & Knowledge
Proven track record in product strategy, requirements definition, and roadmap ownership for digital devices and infrastructure.
Good understanding of hardware product lifecycles, including design, firmware, testing, support, and compliance.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and web technologies or tools (e.g., REST APIs, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, curl, Postman).
General understanding of network communication technologies such as NB-IoT, LTE-M, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Satellite.
Awareness of common sensors and their use cases (e.g., accelerometers, humidity, temperature).
Ability to translate technical topics into clear product decisions, documentation, and communication for varied audiences.
Understanding of supply chain, asset pooling, or operational processes is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritisation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
Openness to continuous learning and educate peers, stakeholders, and customers.
