Senior Product Management Specialist
Company:
The Boeing Company
The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Product Management Specialist to join the team in Denver, CO; North Charleston, SC; Plano, TX; Seal Beach, CA; Seattle, WA; or Hazelwood, MO.
We are building an intelligent, AI-enhanced managed cloud platform that shifts this operational burden away from application teams, and this role owns the product vision for the services that make it work: 24/7 observability and autonomous incident response, AI-driven cloud financial optimization, and automated patching and continuous compliance across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud. In large defense enterprises, cloud operations is where ambition goes to die -- platforms nobody maintains, costs nobody optimizes, and compliance that means a manual evidence-collection exercise that consumes entire teams for weeks. If you have lived that broken reality and refused to accept it, keep reading.
This is not an administrator role -- it is a builder role. You will define what these three interconnected service lines do, how they evolve, and how they are measured, working at the intersection of site reliability engineering, FinOps, and security compliance. You will operate within a product-led matrix, reporting into the Lead PM for the managed cloud platform for product direction, and partnering closely with the Senior Manager responsible for compliance outcomes and the platform's ~80% NIST 800-53/CMMC control inheritance target.
Position Responsibilities:
Own the product roadmap for the platform's observability, autonomous operations, financial optimization, and continuous compliance services across commercial and government cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud)
Define and prioritize features that reduce mean time to recovery, eliminate alert fatigue, and enable self-healing infrastructure through AI-driven runbook automation, targeting 99.999% platform uptime
Drive the product strategy for autonomous cloud cost optimization -- including reserved instance management, automated right-sizing, commitment portfolio management, and predictive budget forecasting -- targeting 15-25% spend reduction in the first 90 days
Define requirements for automated patching and lifecycle management services, including AI-powered vulnerability reachability analysis, digital twin pre-production testing, and zero-downtime deployment pipelines
Partner with the Senior Manager responsible for compliance outcomes to translate the ~80% inherited controls target into specific product capabilities, automation, and audit evidence generation
Align roadmap priorities with the Lead Product Manager for the managed cloud platform, contributing to integrated platform-level planning
Establish and track KPIs tied to business outcomes: platform uptime, cost avoidance ratios, patch currency, time-to-remediation, control inheritance coverage, and customer satisfaction
Engage directly with internal customers -- program managers, chief engineers, and application teams -- to gather feedback, validate product-market fit, and drive adoption
Define pricing and chargeback models for operations services, balancing platform self-funding goals (~30% gross margin target) with program affordability
Ensure feature parity across commercial cloud, government cloud (IL4/IL5), and sovereign/disconnected environments
Employer willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years experience leading enterprise-wide information technology products in product management, project management, development and/or architecture
3+ years experience do you have in cloud economics, FinOps, or IT compliance roles
3+ years experience with cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO, GDPR, ITAR or similar frameworks
Experience monitoring platforms and applications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in Aerospace & Defense, federal IT, or a similarly regulated industry
Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud)
Experience with AI/ML-driven operations, AIOps, or autonomous remediation systems
Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms and container orchestration at enterprise scale
Experience building or managing internal platform-as-a-product offerings
Experience with automated patching systems, vulnerability management, and continuous compliance tooling
Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) for operational request and incident workflows
Demonstrated ability to translate technical capabilities into business value for non-technical executives
