Job Description

Senior Product Engineer

Build a product with real users and AI in production, in a small team that owns the problem end to end. SeenThis is turning campaign work that today lives across email, spreadsheets, ad platforms and people’s heads into software that can increasingly run it. We organise Product and Engineering in small teams around the problems that matter most, and give each team the mandate to make its own decisions.

You’ll join one of those teams: a few engineers, a designer and a product manager. The team works directly with customers, decides what to build, ships it, runs it and measures whether it worked. As the senior engineer, you shape the architecture and the technical approach, including how AI features are built and tested, while spending most of your time building. The team starts on Creative Manager.

About SeenThis

The open web has massive untapped advertising potential, but video has historically underperformed here. SeenThis is changing that. As a video advertising partner, we prove the open web delivers exceptional results, capturing more attention with cost-effective video that keeps publishers profitable and the internet independent. Since 2017, we've served billions of streams for 5,000+ brands across 50+ countries. We believe brands deserve reach wherever audiences are, publishers deserve sustainable revenue, and the internet deserves to stay open.

Our team of 130+ employees works globally from offices in Stockholm, Oslo, London, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, New York, and Sydney. We're expanding across all teams and constantly seeking new colleagues who want to make real impact in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where innovation happens daily.

Do you want to be part of our journey, where we dare to discover, own it, and win together?

About the role

Getting a video campaign live means keeping a brand, its agencies and several ad platforms aligned, and much of that coordination is still done by hand. Creative Manager brings the media plan, specifications, assets, approvals and publishing into one shared workflow. Design partners already run real campaigns through it, and many of the important product and technical decisions are still open. The next step is to make it a product any agency can rely on every day.

The hard part is making the open web as simple to buy as a walled garden. A walled garden has one platform and one set of rules. On the open web, every agency structures campaigns differently, every ad platform and publisher has its own formats and requirements, and several roles work on the same campaign. The product has to absorb that complexity without exposing it to the user. Getting the domain model, integrations and permissions right is what makes that possible, and what lets AI take on more of the coordination over time.

Early work might include:

  • Completing the path from approval to publishing across the ad platforms our partners use.
  • Using AI to read media plans in whatever format an agency sends, with evals behind it and clear signals to the user where it is unsure.
  • Handling hundreds of assets per campaign, with bulk changes and naming conventions.

How we work

  • Stay close to the problem. Engineers spend time with customers and our campaign producers alongside product and design, so the people building the product understand the workflow, the edge cases and why the problem matters. Discovery is shared work, and we explore options with prototypes before committing to a solution.
  • Small teams, full ownership. The team decides how to solve the problem, how to structure the system and how to get it into production, and ownership continues after the code is merged. There is no separate architecture group handing down solutions.
  • Ship early and measure. We get something useful in front of users quickly, measure what happens and improve from there. Campaigns have fixed deadlines, so reliability, observability and recovery are part of product development from the start.
  • Use AI in the tools and in the product. We use Claude Code, Codex and other AI tools heavily in development, and engineers remain accountable for what ships. When AI is part of a product workflow, we treat evals, uncertainty, guardrails and failure modes as engineering problems in their own right.
  • Follow the problem across boundaries. A product problem might start in the UI and lead into an API, the domain model, an integration, the data platform or the streaming infrastructure that handles billions of events a day. We expect engineers to follow it far enough to solve it properly.

Qualifications

  • You’ve taken customer-facing products from an unclear starting point into production and run them long enough to see which of your decisions held up.
  • You’re a full-stack engineer in practice: you build complex UI flows for expert users and design the domain model, APIs and integrations behind them, with solid habits in performance, testing and failure handling.
  • You bring product judgment to engineering: you understand how users actually work, and you know when to invest in foundations and when to ship something simpler.
  • You use AI coding tools in your daily work, can explain how you verify their output, and can reason through a system and debug it without them.
  • You raise the standard of the team through design reviews, code review and clear written reasoning.

For reference, we build in TypeScript, with Vue, Node and PostgreSQL. With AI tools, a new stack is quick to pick up, so we hire for judgment and fundamentals rather than experience with specific frameworks.

Bonus if you have experience with

Creative or content production tools, advertising technology, complex B2B workflows, third-party platform integrations, high-volume event data or video delivery. Or LLM features in production.
