We are a fast growing, pioneering and ethical business who take pride in sharing our delicious and super healthy range of gut-friendly products with the increasingly health-conscious UK consumer.

To help us on this journey, we are looking for a first-class Senior Product Development Manager who is passionate and ambitious, a self-starter with a love of all thing’s food and health. Ideal candidate will have a brilliant understanding of New Product Development and optimization of existing product portfolio, concept to launch Stage Gate process, trends, and innovation. A confident structured communicator with best-in-class stakeholder engagement and cross-functional working.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the commercial development of prototypes and products in support of our Innovation Pipeline.
  2. Contribute to the development of the Innovation Strategy which is led by Brand Marketing.
  3. Represent the Biotiful Product Team at external customer meetings and trade events.
  4. Build and maintain close relationships with all stakeholders, including co-packing partners and key external customers.
  5. Provide support across the Product Team in dealing with information requests, complaints, and data compliance management.
  6. Work closely supporting the Head of Product, Senior Technical and Senior Project planner to drive strategic growth pillars.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Strong experience (minimum 10+ years) leading concept to launch New Product Development.
  • A successful track record of chilled dairy product development delivery in drinks, yogurts, cheese, snack/protein bars, and/or complete meals.
  • Is fully conversant with dairy ingredient and processing technology.
  • Is fully conversant with packaging substrates, formats, and methods of manufacture.
  • Is fully conversant with Project Management tools such as Stage & Gate.
  • Has a basic awareness of fermentation and starter culture design.
  • Self-starter and autonomous with excellent prioritization, and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and engagement skills.
  • Confident leading meetings with senior management, manufacturers, and external customers.

Team Structure and Location:

  • Fixed Term Contract: Initially 12 months (with possibility to extend to 18 months).
  • Reports to: Head of Product
  • Office Days: the Product team is in the Hammersmith office 3 days per week.
  • Travel: regular travel to copackers/customers in the UK/EU
