Senior Product Developer

Purpose of Position
Lead the external development and implementation of new products, solutions and/or design changes of existing products within China. Responsible to ensure value delivery, by securing a well-defined scope that meets customer needs and maintain supply, compliance, and competitiveness.
What you'll do
- Project Execution: Drive and/or execute new product integration, complex pre-development and design control projects with business impact with external partners. Ensure defining a clear project scope. Act as Project manager for sub-projects or projects with limited complexity.
- Design control: Secure design control activities are identified, planned, and executed. Consider different Design Control strategies and promote the most effective approach to be compliant while maintaining a balanced alignment with agreed timelines and cost constraints
- Innovation & customer insight: Identify incremental, adjacent, and transformational innovation opportunities. Plan and drive customer insight work to identify and/or validate opportunities in relation to our strategic focus. Lead the work to translate user needs to product requirements ensuring the right product is developed. Maintain good knowledge of competitors and relevant technologies.
- Problem solving: Secure that complex problems are addressed in a structured manner. Find multiple alternative paths to ensure a pragmatic and holistic approach to solve the problem.
- Communication Engage stakeholders, including team members and customers, to ensure their involvement and commitment. Communicate content, risk and status to maintain quality in project or activity reporting.
- Continuous improvements: Drive knowledge transfer and continuous improvement activities to enhance overall product development efficiency. Promote and support product development best practice within the organization.
- Leadership: Ensure authentic leadership and demonstrated ability to lead and motivate colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

What you'll need

- Fluent English written and spoken.
- Deep engineering skills & technical knowledge in assigned medical device area
- Excellent skills in data driven hypothesis building and decision taking
- Good knowledge of relevant development and problem-solving tools.
- Good understanding of wounds and skin and deep knowledge in assigned product area
- Proven knowledge of Global Regulatory Requirements and standards related to medical device.
- Deep knowledge in Mölnlycke QMS and Design control
- Assigned business area knowledge
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or life science or equivalent
- 8 years’ experience within product development with proven track record of executing a development project from customer need to launch.
- At least 5 years of experience in the international medical device industry, with demonstrated experience managing external manufacturing and supply relationships
- Experience in project management
