Senior Product Designer

Contract Full-time (5 days a week, Monday - Friday)
Location: London (Hammersmith, W6)
Hybrid working: 2 days in the office per week

The Role

We are looking for a passionate Senior Product Designer with strong UX and interaction design expertise and exceptional UI craft to join our Product team. You must know how to work in an agile environment, taking lead from our Product Managers. You must be enthusiastic about building outstanding experiences and think deeply about the customer, user experience and visual design, as well as find solutions that allow customers to intuitively use our products. The ideal candidate will be skilled at each stage of the design process but always focused on the needs of the customer. You will work with cross-functional team members and will rely heavily on both qualitative and quantitative data and take briefs from Product Managers to make informed strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle to shape the future of Cambium's digital products and experiences.
• Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery and research through to delivery, optimisation, and iteration.
• Create intuitive user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that solve customer problems and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Use qualitative and quantitative research, analytics, experimentation, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and validate solutions.
• Champion a user-centred design culture, advocating for customer needs while balancing commercial objectives and technical constraints.
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies, AI-enabled experiences, and new opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes.
• Own and evolve our multi-brand design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, scalability, and efficiency across products.
• Collaborate with Engineers to ensure high-quality implementation and contribute to design QA throughout the development lifecycle.
• Illustrate your thinking and communicate ideas to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Requirements

Relevant Skills and Experience

• 5+ years experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design or a similar digital product design role.
• Worked in a PM led agile environment, partnering closely with Engineers and stakeholders.
• Strong end-to-end product design expertise across discovery, research, UX, interaction design, visual design, and delivery.
• Exceptional proficiency in Figma, including advanced prototyping, component libraries, design systems, and collaborative workflows.
• Experience using AI-powered tools such as Claude design and workflows to accelerate research, ideation, prototyping and design delivery.
• Be a brand guardian, ensuring the work aligns to brand guidelines and be able to evolve brand identities.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and scaling design systems across multiple products or brands.
• Exceptionally skilled at image curation, visual storytelling, typography, layout, form and colour.
• A strong UI and UX portfolio that showcases your experience working on end-to-end web and mobile projects, including evidence of problem-solving and measurable outcomes.
• Ability to empathise with customers and understand their needs and pain points.
• Be a natural collaborator with diverse teams in a multi-faceted, rapid-growth environment.
• Experience using analytics, user research, heatmaps, experimentation platforms, and customer insights to inform design decisions.
  

Desirable Skills

• Experience within e-commerce, marketplaces, gifting, lifestyle, or consumer-focused digital products.
• Experience working within multi-brand environments.
• Experience designing AI-enabled products, features, or customer experiences.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML/CSS
• Experience working with experimentation and optimisation platforms
• Experience using data and customer insight to improve key product metrics such as engagement, conversion, retention or customer satisfaction.
• Motion design, micro-interaction, or animation experience.
