Senior Product Designer
What you will be doing:
The Senior Product Designer is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for delivering high-quality user experiences within a product or POD. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to design intuitive, scalable, and accessible solutions, while contributing to broader design standards and systems.
They focus on execution excellence within defined product areas, translating requirements into thoughtful design solutions, and supporting continuous improvement of the user experience through research and iteration.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility #1 – Product Experience Design: 35%
Design end-to-end user experiences within a product or POD, ensuring usability, clarity, and consistency. Translate product requirements and user needs into effective interaction and visual design solutions that align with business goals.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for features and workflows. Iterate based on feedback, research, and data to deliver production-ready designs that meet usability and accessibility standards.
Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to align on scope, feasibility, and timelines. Ensure design solutions are practical, well-understood, and implemented effectively within the POD.
Leverage and contribute to design systems, patterns, and standards. Support consistency across products by applying established guidelines and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Skills:
Strong ability to design intuitive, end-to-end user experiences within a product or workflow. Skilled in interaction design, information architecture, and prototyping, with a focus on solving real customer problems and improving usability through thoughtful, human-centered design.
• User Interface (UI) Design:
Solid visual design skills with attention to clarity, consistency, and usability. Capable of creating clean, production-ready interfaces that align with design standards while meeting the practical needs of users and the business.
• Design Systems & Standards:
Experience working within and contributing to design systems and component libraries. Understands the importance of consistency and reusability, and actively applies established patterns while identifying opportunities for incremental improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Highly collaborative team player who works effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers within a POD. Builds strong working relationships, communicates openly, and contributes to a positive, solution-oriented team environment.
• Customer-Centered & Data-Informed Design:
Listens closely to customer needs and feedback, using research, data, and insights to inform design decisions. Demonstrates curiosity and empathy for users, ensuring solutions are grounded in real-world use cases.
• Team Contribution & Peer Support:
Actively contributes to team success by sharing ideas, providing constructive feedback, and supporting peers. Open to learning and growing, while helping maintain a high standard of design quality within the team.
• Problem Solving & Execution Focus:
Able to take defined problems and translate them into practical, well-designed solutions. Comfortable working through ambiguity with guidance, and focused on delivering outcomes that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Tools & Prototyping:
Proficient in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma preferred). Able to quickly create wireframes, prototypes, and design assets that support collaboration and efficient delivery.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communicator with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and actively listen to feedback. Builds trust with teammates and stakeholders through transparency, responsiveness, and a customer-first mindset.
Experience:
· 6–8+ yearsof UX/UI or product design experience
· Experience designing features or products within complex applications
· Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work
· Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering in agile or POD-based environments
· Exposure to design systems and scalable UI patterns
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (required)
Master’s degree or advanced coursework in HCI, UX, Product Design, or related disciplines (preferred)
Relevant certifications (optional but valued):
UX Design or Human-Centered Design certifications
Accessibility (WCAG) or Inclusive Design certifications
Design System or Advanced UI/UX specialization programs

Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $113,000 - $188,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
