Job Description

Optum is a global organization that delivers care, aided by technology to help millions of people live healthier lives. The work you do with our team will directly improve health outcomes by connecting people with the care, pharmacy benefits, data and resources they need to feel their best. Here, you will find a culture guided by diversity and inclusion, talented peers, comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities. Come make an impact on the communities we serve as you help us advance health equity on a global scale. Join us to start Caring. Connecting. Growing together.

Combine two of the fastest-growing fields on the planet with a culture of performance, collaboration, and opportunity and this is what you get. Leading-edge technology in an industry that is improving the lives of millions. Here, innovation is not about another gadget; it is about transforming how care is delivered. If you are looking for a better place to use your passion for building intuitive, high-impact products that improve provider productivity and patient care, this is the place to be.

We are seeking a Senior Product Analyst to support the definition and delivery of the Optum Point of Care experience, including provider-facing workflows embedded within leading EHR platforms. This role will partner closely with product leaders, design, engineering, technical integration, analytics, and implementation teams to translate product direction and clinical workflows into clear requirements and delivery-ready work.

This is a product role first, with an added emphasis on product operations, process improvement, and program management skills. The successful candidate will help keep product work moving through solid requirements, backlog readiness, dependency management, status reporting, and launch readiness, while also helping the team build lightweight and repeatable operating processes.

Optum Point of Care is designed to bring together AI-driven capabilities such as ambient documentation, chart intelligence, autonomous coding, and provider billing to help reduce administrative burden, improve documentation quality, and support more connected clinical and revenue cycle workflows.

In this role, you must be able to communicate complex concepts clearly with product, technical, operational, and leadership stakeholders. You should be organized, curious, comfortable working through ambiguity, and able to balance independent execution with close cross-functional collaboration.

Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Translate product strategy and workflow needs into clear requirements, user stories, delivery plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes
  • Support the definition and delivery of provider-facing Optum Point of Care workflows embedded within EHR platforms, in partnership with product, design, engineering, and technical integration teams
  • Develop an understanding of provider behaviour and clinical workflows to identify opportunities to reduce friction, improve usability, and support provider productivity
  • Maintain backlog readiness and help ensure product work is clearly defined, prioritized, traceable to intended outcomes, and ready for delivery
  • Coordinate dependencies, risks, decisions, and follow-up across cross-functional teams to support product execution, pilot and launch readiness
  • Build and improve lightweight product operating processes, including intake, roadmap tracking, status reporting, dependency management, and readiness coordination
  • Apply practical AI-enabled approaches across the product development lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, requirements, documentation, and quality checks, while following applicable governance processes

You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven solid experience in product management, product analysis, business analysis, or related product delivery roles, with demonstrated exposure to program management responsibilities
  • Proven experience translating user and business workflows into requirements, use cases, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery-ready documentation
  • Proven experience working within Agile product development environments, including backlog refinement, prioritization, planning, and delivery coordination
  • Proven experience partnering across product, design, engineering, operations, and cross-functional stakeholder groups to deliver business outcomes
  • Proven experience identifying and managing dependencies, risks, decisions, and follow-up actions across multiple workstreams
  • Proven experience creating or improving team processes, planning artifacts, status reporting, or product operations practices
  • Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable outcomes
  • Demonstrated solid organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in health IT, digital health, revenue cycle management, or related healthcare technology environments
  • Proven experience working with EHR platforms or EHR-adjacent products, including Epic, Athenahealth, Meditech, or similar systems
  • Proven experience supporting provider-facing, workflow-based, or enterprise software products
  • Proven experience working with technical integrations, data products, APIs, or external technology partners
  • Proven experience supporting customer pilots, alpha and beta programs, launch readiness, implementation, or go-to-market activities
  • Proven experience utilizing product and delivery tools such as Aha!, Rally, Jira, Nimble, Figma, Miro, or similar platforms
  • Proven experience using AI tools or AI-enabled methodologies within the product development lifecycle
  • Proven experience in product operations, program management, project management, Agile delivery, or process improvement initiatives

Please note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application. Proof will be required to support your application.
