Senior Procurement Specialist (Team Indirect)

Role Purpose:

The Senior Procurement Specialist shall represent the Indirect Purchasing (IPUR) function and lead strategic sourcing and category management initiatives to maximize business value, improve supplier performance, and support procurement transformation objectives.

The primary objective of the role is to identify, develop, and manage strategic supplier relationships for indirect materials and services while delivering measurable savings, risk mitigation, and sustainable procurement outcomes.

The incumbent shall provide procurement expertise, lead sourcing projects, and collaborate with regional procurement teams to align category strategies, governance standards, and supplier management practices across Southeast Asia.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Category Management
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned indirect categories
  • Drive supplier consolidation and spend optimization
  1. Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
  • Lead complex sourcing projects and commercial negotiations
  • Evaluate total cost of ownership and supplier risk
  1. Supplier Performance Management
  • Establish supplier KPIs and conduct performance reviews
  • Drive supplier development initiatives
  1. Cross-Functional Business Partnership
  • Partner with business stakeholders to align procurement strategies
  • Support business planning and demand management
  1. Procurement Excellence
  • Drive process improvements and share procurement best practices
  • Coach junior procurement team members

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Professional procurement certification preferred (CIPS / CPSM / equivalent)
  • 5–8 years of procurement experience
  • Experience managing cross-functional procurement projects
  • Category management methodology
  • Supplier relationship, Strategic sourcing and tender management
  • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles, Contract negotiation and commercial analysis
  • Procurement analytics, reporting and risk assessment
