We're Hiring: Senior Procurement Specialist

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

8 Months Contract

Are you a procurement professional with a strong track record in sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization? We're looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join a dynamic Fintech environment and drive efficient, compliant, and strategic procurement operations.

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities across Fintech business units, ensuring alignment with policies, budgets, and compliance standards. This role plays a key part in enabling operational excellence and supporting strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Execute sourcing and procurement processes (RFx, vendor selection, spend analysis)
Support budgeting (CAPEX & OPEX) and cost optimization initiatives
Manage supplier lifecycle (registration, qualification, performance)
Compile cost comparisons, reports, and procurement insights
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and global procurement teams
Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Contract Management
4–6 years' experience in procurement across multiple categories
Exposure to Fintech, Telecoms, or Technology sectors (advantageous)
Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working across global or complex environments
Certification with an associated Procurement or related body may be advantageous
