Purpose of the Role
Manage procurement and sourcing activities, ensuring strategies that optimize cost, quality, and timelines. The role combines operational execution with strategic planning, contributing to the achievement of project objectives and the stability of the supply chain.
Main Duties:
• Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies for projects, including market analysis, supplier identification, and ensuring effectiveness of implemented strategies.
• Conduct client presentations and interface discussions to understand their needs and requirements.
• Participate in project reviews from a procurement perspective and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Promote safe work practices and demonstrate leadership in health, safety, ethics, and compliance.
• Achieve internal and external cost-saving objectives and contribute to overall organizational goals.
Requirements
• Engineering or Business Degree
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, including leadership roles in large-scale projects.
• Experience in managing purchasing and subcontracting strategies for major capital projects, ideally in mining or heavy industrial sectors.
• Long-term and strategic mindset, ability to influence cross-department decision-making, and capability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, combined with strong execution skills. Good business acumen and analytical abilities, as well as strong project management capabilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute major projects independently.
• English proficiency advanced
