Join our team as a Senior Procurement Officer and play a key role in delivering high-quality procurement and contract management services across the organisation. In this dynamic position, you'll work closely with stakeholders at all levels to provide expert procurement advice, manage end-to-end procurement activities, support contract administration, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is offered as a Fixed Term appointment, contracted until 30 June 2027, with potential for extension.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Procurement Officer to join our high-performing team.

Working closely with the Procurement & Projects Coordinator and internal stakeholders, you will support the delivery of procurement, contract administration and governance services across the organisation. The role is responsible for coordinating procurement processes, preparing and quality assuring procurement and contract documentation, supporting contract management activities, maintaining procurement systems and records, and providing practical advice to stakeholders to support compliant and effective procurement outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including planning, market engagement, sourcing, evaluation support, contract establishment and procurement administration.
  • Prepare, coordinate and manage quotation, tender, procurement and contract documentation in accordance with organisational policies, governance requirements and probity standards.
  • Provide practical procurement advice, guidance and support to stakeholders, promoting compliant, consistent and value-for-money procurement outcomes.
  • Support contract administration activities, including the preparation, review and coordination of contracts and contract variations, records management, risk identification and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and contract records, registers, templates and corporate systems to support governance, reporting and effective contract management.
  • Assist with procurement reporting, data analysis, audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to procurement frameworks, policies and organisational requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to support procurement planning, project delivery, operational requirements and organisational objectives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, systems, policies, templates and resources to enhance efficiency, consistency, compliance and user experience.
  • Support the development and maintenance of procurement guidance materials, training resources and intranet content to promote best practice procurement across the organisation.

SELECTION CRITERIA – ESSENTIAL

  • Minimum three years’ experience in procurement delivery (including project or improvement activities) and associated governance support, including demonstrated experience preparing associated procurement documents and record keeping.
  • Demonstrated experience undertaking end-to-end procurement including but not limited to procurement planning, market engagement, contract establishment and associated activities within a governance framework.
  • Demonstrated high-level problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing work demands, manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes within required timeframes.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, provide advice and build effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Proven ability to analyse procurement and contract management matters, exercise sound judgement, and identify risks, errors and inconsistencies to support compliant decision-making.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft 365 with the ability to adopt and use corporate procurement and contract management systems.

SELECTION CRITERIA – HIGHLY DESIRABLE

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Business Administration) or relevant experience.
  • Relevant Procurement Certification (e.g. QLD Government Procurement Certification Framework).
  • Experience with the use of Folio, SharePoint, and e-tendering systems.

  • Remuneration package: $107,601 to $117,137 plus superannuation
