Position:

Senior Procurement Executive (Level 1)

Role Objective

The Procurement Executive: RFQ & Proposal is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of product costing and material planning.

This includes sourcing competitive quotes from global suppliers, analyzing actual vs. estimated spend, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials from the Purchase Order (PO) stage to the final assembly line.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing & Quotation Management

• RFQ Preparation: Manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes by analyzing technical drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for electronic components and assemblies.
• Customer Proposals: Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for customers based on thorough product costing.
• Spend Analysis: Conduct "Actual vs. Estimated" spend analysis to identify variances and improve future pricing accuracy.

2. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development

• Supplier Identification: Identify and develop a dedicated pool of alternate manufacturers/vendors to ensure supply chain resilience.
• Negotiation: Evaluate and compare global vendor quotations to negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, and reduced lead times without compromising quality.
• Global Supply Chain: Coordinate with international suppliers to stay ahead of market trends and component obsolescence.

3. Material Planning & Production Support

• Assembly Scheduling: Plan material requirements in strict alignment with the assembly schedule to ensure zero downtime.
• Shortage Management: Proactively track and resolve shortages or "critical-path" items to meet production deadlines.
• Tracker Maintenance: Maintain real-time material trackers to provide visibility to stakeholders in Sales, Manufacturing, and Management.

4. Execution & Coordination

• PO Generation: Responsible for generating Purchase Orders (POs) based on production requirements and MRP runs.
• Proto-Job Management: Coordinate material requirements for prototype builds and "New Product Introduction" (NPI) phases.
