Job Description
Priority Quality Consultants, on behalf of a leading integrated energy group in Southeast Europe, is seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer to join its Procurement team as part of a maternity cover assignment
This is an excellent opportunity for procurement professionals who are passionate about strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and commercial negotiations, and who are looking to contribute to a dynamic, large-scale corporate environment. The position offers an initial six-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension up to twelve months, depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement activities for assigned categories.
- Design, organize, and execute competitive sourcing processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
- Evaluate supplier proposals based on commercial, technical, and contractual criteria.
- Lead commercial negotiations and support contract preparation and execution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external partners.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, and procurement efficiency.
- Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies and governance procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Buyer or Strategic Buyer, with proven hands-on experience in strategic procurement.
- Strong experience in competitive tendering, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
- Previous experience in a large corporate environment will be considered an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent command of the English language.
