Project Context
You will contribute to a large-scale infrastructure renewal project involving a critical water management system. The project includes the replacement and modernization of a pumping station to address aging infrastructure and future climate challenges such as rising sea levels and increased precipitation.
As a Senior Procurement and Contract Management Advisor, you are responsible for the preparation, execution, and management of procurement and contract processes for engineering services and related works.
You will operate within a multidisciplinary project environment involving civil engineering, mechanical systems, and industrial automation, working closely with contract management teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage procurement processes for engineering services
Support contract management throughout execution (monitoring, changes, documentation, performance tracking)
Guide tender procedures (single, multiple, national, and European)
Coordinate procurement of additional services from planning to contract finalization
Monitor contract progress, risks, and compliance
Lead and support contract meetings and stakeholder coordination
Ensure quality, transparency, and adherence to processes
Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
Technical university degree (mandatory)
Postgraduate qualification or training in public procurement law
Minimum 2 years of contract management experience in large-scale service contracts (> €15M)
Minimum 2 years of experience in infrastructure renewal projects (e.g., pumping stations, locks, bridges, or tunnels)
Experience with tendering service contracts (> €5M)
VCA VOL certification (or willingness to obtain within 1 month)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with industrial automation in infrastructure projects
Experience in large-scale multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
Familiarity with complex contract forms and engineering service contracts
