To support our vision for the Procurement function, we are building new capabilities in our Category Management team of which this role will be part of. These capabilities will cover data analytics and reporting, sourcing and contracting, demand management, stakeholder engagement and business partnering, as well as being responsible for third-party risk management and vendor management activities.

A role you will love

The role is responsible for delivering procurement activities within the Corporate Services categories (People, Marketing and Travel) to create value and achieve cost savings. It executes the agreed strategy with third party suppliers and works closely with business stakeholders to implement key procurement initiatives.

It helps make Computershare an attractive partner for suppliers and supports Procurement in becoming a source of competitive advantage, innovation, risk management, and cost control.

The role manages demand, strategic sourcing, contracts, vendors, and program delivery, using data and insights to drive efficiencies. It also implements solutions aligned with the category strategy when going to market.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Support the Category Manager/Director in developing and executing sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct category analyses and market research to identify savings opportunities and vendor tail reduction.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key day-to-day stakeholders, other category and procurement teams, suppliers and external partners
  • Manage global stakeholder groups to ensure smooth project delivery and timelines.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to achieving strong business results.
  • Identify suitable suppliers, new solutions, and emerging market trends.
  • Negotiate key contract elements, including pricing, terms, and lead times.
  • Develop and manage supplier KPIs/SLAs and monitor ongoing supplier performance.
  • Analyse spends and product mix to identify opportunities for standardization and alignment with business needs.

What will you bring to the role?

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Category Management functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, Operations, or a related field (post graduate degree preferred).
  • Project management qualification or significant hands on project management experience.
  • Knowledge of procurement category strategies and the relevant supplier landscape.
  • Negotiation skills across procurement categories and solid understanding of standard contractual terms.
  • Experience in managing change and collaborating effectively with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  • Proactive, solution oriented mindset with the ability to drive outcomes.
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable dealing with data, identifying trends and presenting findings.
