Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Procurement Agent Manager to join our Supply Chain (SC) Interiors team in Everett, Washington

In this position you would include oversight of Procurement Agent Managers and their teams performing activities related to committing company resources to the procurement of products related to the BCA Interiors Category, specifically, development of bid packages, proposal analyses, and the planning, development, negotiation, execution and administration of contracts, including new and follow-on supplier contracts, cost recoveries and assertions. Additionally, knowledge of Supply Chain Operations Management (supplier performance including the administration of quality, delivery, and rate readiness requirements to support multiple Boeing Programs) is desired. The Senior Manager also develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures, and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives. The Senior Manager develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with suppliers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports, and provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees and managers in accordance with Boeing Values and Behaviors.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages Procurement Agent employees and mid-level managers performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, and development of contracts.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes and related tools.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
  • Additionally, knowledge of Supply Chain Operations Management (supplier performance including the administration of quality, delivery, and rate readiness requirements to support multiple Boeing Programs) is desired.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications ( Required Skills Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • 3+ years of experience with contract management
  • 3+ years of experience in negotiation and contracting processes
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally - 25 %

Preferred Qualifications ( Desired Skills Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • Experience utilizing strategic decision making and supply chain metrics to drive business results
