Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Process Manager – Payroll & Compliance to lead end-to-end payroll operations and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing payroll processes, driving compliance, and acting as a key liaison between HR, Finance, vendors, and government authorities.
Payroll Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including input collation, validation, and finalization
- Coordinate with payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution
- Ensure correct and timely Full & Final (F&F) settlements for exiting employees
- Manage leave, attendance, and timekeeping processes
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Gratuity, MLWF, New Wage Code, and other statutory regulations
- Manage filings of statutory returns and ensure adherence to timelines
- Handle statutory and tax audits, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Liaise with government authorities and manage PF/ESIC portals
Audit & Governance
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all payroll-related processes
- Maintain readiness for statutory and internal audits
- Monitor changes in labor laws and implement updates accordingly
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a single point of contact for senior leadership on payroll and compliance matters
- Collaborate with HR for benefits, leaves, and employee lifecycle processes
- Partner with Finance for payroll data, reporting, and statutory requirements
- Work with IT to improve systems and drive automation initiatives
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Analyze payroll processes to identify improvements and efficiencies
- Oversee preparation of payroll reports, including regulatory and management reports
- Ensure all processes are aligned with latest statutory requirements
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage Sodexo, car fuel allowance, and other employee benefits
- Drive Apprentice Program (registration, compliance, claim process)
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards
- 10–15+ years of experience in payroll and statutory compliance
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory frameworks
- Hands-on experience with PF/ESIC portals and payroll systems
- Experience handling audits and regulatory filings
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills
- High attention to detail and process orientation
