Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join its Life Sciences division. The role will initially be based in our Antwerp office, with assignments on-site in the Walloon Region. This is a 12-month contract, with the possibility of renewal.

The key objectives for this role are:

  • Lead and coordinate small / medium process teams
  • Concept, Basic & Detail Design process activities for pharmaceutical facilities (API, OSD biotech, fill/finish)
  • Preparation / review of project specific deliverables (mass / energy balance, PFD, P&ID, data sheets, technical specifications, equipment list, equipment layout, utilities consumption list)
  • Interface with other disciplines, clients, equipment suppliers
  • Work as part of a team by supporting each other, sharing workload and covering during periods of absence
  • Contribute and participate to work in an enthusiastic manner, working to the requirements of quality and environmental management systems maintained to ISO standards
  • Available to be assigned to site as Senior Field Process Engineer, to give technical assistance to construction team

Expected:

  • MSc degree in Chemical, Process or Biotech engineering
  • Leadership and coordination skills
  • Knowledge of typical pharmaceutical processes (API, OSD, biotech, fill/finish) and their relevant norms
  • Knowledge of functional / mechanical features of process equipment typical of pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to work across multi-discipline teams
  • Eligible to work in Belgium
  • Fluent English
  • Good spoken and written Dutch & French

Desirable

  • Previous experience at construction site
