About the Role

With major projects underway and new opportunities emerging, we’re looking for a Senior Process Engineer who’s ready to make an impact and help write the next chapter of our water story. Whether you’re an experienced specialist or an Associate Engineer ready to take the next step, we welcome your application. We’ll tailor the role to meet you where you are in your career.

You’ll join a high-performing national team and apply advanced process engineering expertise across some of Australia’s most complex and meaningful water infrastructure projects. If you have experience in Odour treatment or Desalination plants - even better!

What You’ll Do

• Deliver water infrastructure projects as part of a national multi‑disciplinary team nationally.
• Provide specialist technical input in process engineering across design, modelling, review, sign‑off, and optimisation.
• Drive innovative engineering outcomes by applying emerging water and wastewater technologies.
• Collaborate with clients, operators, and vendors to develop smart, efficient, future-ready solutions.
• Contribute to proposals, pursuits, and technical strategy development.
• Mentor early‑career engineers and support capability uplift across the business.
• Represent WSP in industry committees, technical forums, conferences, and publications.

About You

You bring technical depth, curiosity, and the drive to solve complex problems that matter. You’re a team player who can influence, collaborate, and lead with confidence.

You will bring:

• A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (MIEAust/IChemE; CPEng/RPEQ ideal).
• Experience in engineering consulting and/or the Australian water sector (advantageous).
• An advantage but not essential: Strong capability in odour treatment process design, ventilation systems, and odour modelling.
• A track record of challenging conventional thinking and proposing innovative solutions.
• Clear, strategic problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate technical pathways to stakeholders.
• Experience with CHAIR, HAZOP, and safety‑in‑design methodologies.
• Risk identification and mitigation skills across small to large-scale projects.
• Experience with commissioning (advantage).
