Job Description

  • Process Design and Optimization
    • Develop, evaluate, and implement chemical processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
    • Utilize process simulation tools to troubleshoot and optimize production workflows.
    • Lead initiatives to reduce energy consumption, waste, and production costs.
  • Management of Change (MOC)
    • Oversee and ensure compliance with the MOC system for all process modifications.
    • Conduct risk assessments and hazard reviews for proposed changes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of changes.
  • ISO Compliance
    • Maintain and enhance processes to meet ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001(Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
    • Participate in audits and drive continuous improvement in compliance with ISO systems.
  • Project Management
    • Plan, lead, and execute engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget constraints.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
    • Prepare detailed project documentation, including technical drawings, schedules, and reports.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
    • Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
    • Foster a safety-first culture and promote adherence to company safety policies.
  • Leadership and Mentorship
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operational staff.
    • Lead training initiatives on MOC systems, ISO compliance, and process optimization.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Monitor production metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements.
    • Generate detailed reports for stakeholders, summarizing findings, recommendations, and results.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in chemical manufacturing or process engineering roles.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale engineering projects and leading process changes.
  • Familiarity with Management of Change (MOC) systems and ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
  • Strong understanding of chemical plant operations, unit processes, and thermodynamics.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Project management experience, SCEM and/or Water Efficiency Manager certified is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
