Job Summary

Tetra Pak is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to strengthen our team in Budaörs, Hungary.

In this role, you will take full responsibility for an entire production area, ensuring the effective and stable operation of its processes. You will lead and coordinate Process, Quality, and Maintenance Engineers by developing their capabilities and empowering them to drive performance. Additionally, you will govern loss‑eradication initiatives and sustain results by strengthening preventive maintenance practices within your area.

What you will do

  • Develop and own the strategy for your production area in line with overall factory objectives, and ensure its effective execution through clearly defined actions
  • Monitor and evaluate production performance using key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Drive performance improvements by analyzing losses, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to reduce or eliminate them
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on set priorities and manage cross‑functional improvement teams
  • Ensure that required conditions for safety, product quality, and equipment efficiency are consistently met and regularly reviewed
  • Sustain stable process and machine conditions through regular audits of standards and work instructions
  • Identify, plan, and execute development needs for engineers and operators to support capability growth and long‑term performance

We believe you have

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2–3 years of leadership experience is considered an advantage
  • University or college degree in a technical engineering field
  • Fluency in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Ability to manage a high workload in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and/or Lean methodologies is an advantage
