Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the process engineering function, including process design, optimization, troubleshooting, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate process engineering activities for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements
- Develop and implement process design solutions for new and existing facilities
- Conduct process simulations and calculations to optimize plant operations and ensure efficiency
- Identify and troubleshoot process issues and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integration of process design with other project elements
- Prepare and review process engineering documents, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and specifications
- Lead and mentor junior process engineers, providing technical guidance and support as needed
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on process engineering progress and issues
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and standards
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in process engineering technology and techniques
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of process design principles, simulations, and calculations
- Experience with process design software such as HYSYS, ASPEN, or ProMax
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in mentoring and leading a team
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel as needed
