We are looking for a hands-on Process Development Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our Mechanical Operations team in Singapore. In this role, you will provide primary engineering support to R&D during new product introduction, owning design transfer to manufacturing and helping resolve mechanical, assembly, and PCBA-related issues. You will work closely with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to keep new product projects on track.
Develop and evaluate Design for Assembly (DFA) considerations for new projects, applying process and electrical knowledge to improve product assembly efficiency
Perform troubleshooting of box build and PCBA debugging to support new product introduction
Collaborate with production team members to design and evaluate jigs and fixtures for new projects
Compile and create technical reports, assembly work instructions, and drawings, ensuring compliance with ISO and industry standards
Review and manage process specifications, leading discussions with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to align requirements
Develop Power BI dashboards and macro programming tools to automate reporting and enhance visualization of engineering and production data
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering; 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical or electrical engineering
Process knowledge of plastic and rubber molding, metal fabrication, and secondary processes such as plating and spray painting
Familiar with DFMEA, PFMEA, and operational excellence tools such as Lean Manufacturing, 8D, Cpk, GR&R and SPC
Experience in product design, product assembly, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Familiar with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Creo and SolidWork as well as like Minitab, Power BI and simple macro programming
Good organizational and communication skills with key stakeholders, with the ability to work independently and under pressure
