And now we are looking for a Senior Private Cloud Architect (VMware & Kubernetes) to join us as part of our team.

About the project:

The project focuses on assessing, designing, and transforming enterprise private and hybrid cloud environments built on VMware and Kubernetes technologies.

It includes current-state infrastructure and platform assessments, customer discovery workshops, requirements gathering, future-state architecture, networking and security design, automation, migration planning, and operational readiness.

The architect will design solutions involving VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vDefend, VCF Automation, Supervisor, VKS, and Kubernetes. The project may also include platform installations, migrations, upgrades, patching, disaster recovery, proofs of concept, and cloud-modernization initiatives.

A key objective is to translate technical and business requirements into secure, scalable, and implementation-ready architectures. The architect will present and defend recommendations to engineering teams and customer management before handing the approved design over to delivery teams and providing technical guidance during implementation when required.

Work Environment

Flexible schedule with participation in team ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration. Time zone: You will be expected to have some overlap with the US east coast time zone.

As a qualified expert, You will:

• Lead VMware and Kubernetes architecture engagements from discovery through handover
• Run customer workshops and gather technical, operational, security, migration, and business requirements
• Assess existing infrastructure, virtualization, networking, security, automation, and Kubernetes environments
• Design future-state VCF and Kubernetes architectures
• Create high-level and low-level designs, diagrams, procedures, migration plans, and transformation roadmaps
• Design NSX and vDefend networking and security solutions, including BGP and Tier-0/Tier-1 routing
• Define automation and orchestration architectures using VCF/Aria Automation and related technologies
• Plan installations, migrations, upgrades, patching, disaster recovery, and modernization initiatives
• Present recommendations, explain trade-offs, and defend architecture decisions
• Hand over implementation-ready designs and guide delivery teams when required
• Lead or support proofs of concept and technology evaluations
• Collaborate with customers, solutions architects, delivery technical leads, and engineers
• Maintain current technical knowledge through documentation, lab testing, and certification

We’re looking for you if you have

• Senior-level experience designing enterprise VMware, private cloud, or platform solutions
• Strong practical architecture expertise in both VMware and Kubernetes
• Experience assessing current-state environments and designing secure, reliable, and operationally supportable future-state architectures
• Strong knowledge of VCF, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vDefend, automation, operations, logging, disaster recovery, Supervisor, and VKS
• Ability to architect Kubernetes platforms and integrate them with VMware infrastructure, networking, storage, and security
• Experience with NSX networking, including BGP, Edge Nodes, Tier-0/Tier-1 routing, route redistribution, and north-south connectivity
• Experience with VMware automation and orchestration, including VCF/Aria Automation
• Experience developing migration, modernization, and cloud-transformation strategies
• Proven enterprise consulting or professional services experience
• Ability to independently lead discovery workshops, gather requirements, and turn findings into an architecture
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain and defend technical trade-offs to engineers and management
• Strong written documentation skills, including high-level and low-level designs
• Ability to identify and document risks, constraints, dependencies, and prerequisites
• Ability to follow industry guidelines and best practices
• A relevant degree and advanced VMware or Kubernetes certifications are advantageous
• English — Upper Intermediate or higher
